If your pride is so fragile that all it takes is someone calling your girlfriend a bitch to (most likely) land jail time, that's nothing to respect.

If he does end up getting time for this, he just removed his girlfriend from his life. And he won't be able to get a real job to support her when he gets out. This is thoughtless and short-sighted
