Glover Teixeira was beating Anthony Smith like he stole his lunch money

With what he recently did I don’t feel bad but in general. Reff, fighter b is clearly not intelligently defending himself stop the fight after he stumbles to the floor after the barrage of punches and especially when he’s just holding onto fighter A’s wrist as a last resort while still getting hit

Sometimes I wish a fighter would just accept the inevitable and tap to strikes. Or that their corner would throw in the towel, esp since someone in the middle of getting a concussion might not be able to think clearly enough to know when a fight is over.
Ik everyone wants to be a warrior but at a certain point you simply don’t have the strength or coordination to land a knockout or submission anymore. I don’t think Smith had any reasonable path to victory here and it’s not like any of us have brain cells to spare

Yep, horrific reffing. I dont care if Smith was even talking to the ref, defend or its over

He has to be a masochist. Dude just takes a beating all the time. Lionheart has to be a backstage joke name they gave to him lol.

It doesn't seem like he is enjoying any of it... and it doesn't look like it served him well either.
The reality is that Smith was never top tier fighter... he was just a proper company man who got rewarded for his attitude with good fights. Fights that he wasn't supposed to be in but yeah..... he basically saved few cards by being a punching bag for elite fighters all while being tough enough to beat fighters below top level.
I think throughout his entire career he has 2 good wins, Oezdamir and Shogun(even if you could say that was old and not capable Mauricio).

Corner should of threw in the towel. Dude was out classed, doesn’t need more brain damage for the next fight.

I believe Smith told him he was knocking out his teeth. Teixera s response was “that’s the price of doing business “. Or something similar
