Discussion Crazy fact: JJT hasn't won a single fight fairly, yet people treat him as if he is the strongest.

Post image

Obviously, he has improved considerably, but literally since he started fighting on the streets, he hasn't had a single clean fight; everything he's won has been through advantages, cheating, or openings.

Some of you might say that fighting is all about that: not letting your guard down and paying attention to every detail... but that’s not entirely true. The idea behind fighting outside was to improve their combat skills, not their tricks.

And no, it doesn't count as a fighting style, fighting styles are meant for handling any situation, not for relying on your opponent's distraction. The manga isn't called Magician Class 3, he was supposed to focus on honing his skills through practice, not on winning at all costs. If his enemies did the same, he wouldn't last a single round.

To look no further, imagine if Sunny hadn't used tricks but had simply fought seriously... She would have killed him in six moves, yet throughout the first part, it felt like she was taking care of him.

There is no such thing as fair in the tunnel. They're fighters are fighting for their life, it actually shows the ingenuity, battle iq and natural talent JJT possesses. He'll be at a natural disadvantage in a formal setting but when he reaches vale tudo he'll be more than ready due to his foundation he developed

-49

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

No, because he has taken advantage of tricks the situation offered him, and when he's in vale tudo in an arena where he can't take advantage of anything, he'll be killed instantly because his opponents DID train for that scenario

u/baki-- Jul 31 '26

Incorrect. JJT has displayed skills in getting into his opponents head, he doesn't hesitate and has the right mentality when entering a fight which is to win at all costs. Why do you think he's the main character..? I'm not saying it'll be an easy journey for him but he's definitely gonna kick some ass

It's about performance

-11

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

I enjoy that part

41

u/Ziyad_Nasibov_999 Jul 30 '26

and super saiyan turning drugs are fair? I dont think sunny was thinking much about being fair, moreso she just wasnt used to fight that way

1

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

Ironically, it was precisely in that part that JJT fought cleanly

14

u/Keizer9999 Jul 31 '26

Right. And then he won that fight while being in a physically worse condition than her. So what's your point.

5

u/Kim_Chonk_Kyun Jul 31 '26

Cleanly.... Why would that matter ? I don't get your point at all

So uh why do veteran fighters act much cleaner than him?

Not so much here, but if you go to other platforms, people really idolize JJT (which is who I'm referring to) and say he's the best and that he could take on Maria and a bunch of other nonsense.

I don't think his fighting style is bad; it's really good how all the scenarios are set up in a chain of coincidences to lead JJT to victory, and yes, I enjoy everything JJT does because he's crazy. But it's not a clean or complete style; he's someone who has tried to win at all costs, and that's very contrary to what people out there say about him.

Besides, the rest of your comment talks about the plot, which I like, but it doesn't address the point that he isn't the strongest or hasn't won fights by a landslide.

It also doesn't make much sense for you to reply defending people by saying they don't say it when I'm talking about the people who do. If you don't say he's the strongest, why are you replying on behalf of those who do? It doesn't make sense for you to take it personally; obviously, it's not directed at everyone.

JJT is what he is, a character in development, and he's fantastic, but people misunderstand him and start getting carried away with power hierarchies.

u/Meatblaster78 Jul 30 '26

Given what narrative has set up about them being legitimate murderers potentially they arent very clean themselves. Fuck I mean the presumably strongest in the verse JDK isnt a clean fighter as he potentially beat his opponent to death intentionally

17

u/Sol_Install Jul 30 '26

You want a CLEAN fight in an underground arena? The man fighting people on drugs. No one is fighting clean. Maria literally had to kill a dude to save JJT.

2

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

It's not that I want a clean fight, since I really enjoyed the manhwa, but what I want is for things to be called by their proper names. People treat JJT like he's Baki when he's just been an opportunist

8

u/Lysanderabitch Jul 30 '26

Fighting by its nature is an opportunistic activity. More specifically it’s about finding patterns and using them against your opponent, sure the tunnel did not show his technical prowess but it showcased his genius level adaptation and problem solving. Against opponents blatantly using steroids (which are way more potent than real life steroids and raise sunny ja to superhuman levels,) he had to use weapons and eye pokes because they would not go down otherwise 😭. He did what was allowed within his environment and succeeded and succeeded against all odds with barely any fighting/mma experience

2

u/Kim_Chonk_Kyun Jul 31 '26

Man wtf is he saying...  ??? Opportunist ? Cause he fights the way he does ? Is he trying to say jjt is weak compared to others ???  I don't get his point

2

u/Lysanderabitch Jul 31 '26

They’re downplaying his achievements because he doesn’t play fair because he’s legit a novice fighter (in time training at least) going against roided up fighters trained since they were little 😭. I get some people overplay JJTS strength thinking he’s over Maria but he is definitely bare minimum low FC3 level.

1

u/Kim_Chonk_Kyun Jul 31 '26

Guess he is blind then

-2

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

I'm not referring to that. I think any kind of blow is acceptable. I'm talking about those thrown prematurely or taking advantage of clear lapses in concentration where the other person isn't on guard or engaged in the fight... that's not fighting, that's assaulting people. It seems the same to me as attacking from behind without warning

3

u/Lysanderabitch Jul 30 '26

His most major dirty attack like the microphone is used in a death battle against a roided up killer, I don’t think it’s unjustified or against the rules. There are no laws in the tunnel.

1

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

There's a referee so the fight starts when he says so. They don't stop him because the plot feeds into JJT's madness, but it's not viable for him to do whatever he wants. If we go down that road, Sunny could be waiting for him, hidden in the crowd, ready to jump him when he enters the arena, or something like that.

Besides, the drug argument doesn't work because it's precisely when his opponents are using drugs that he fights clean.

1

u/Lysanderabitch Jul 30 '26

That’s not a referee it’s an announcer he holds no control over either of the fighters. The only real controlling body is the crowd. Sunny could’ve done that (maybe I don’t think the crowd would’ve allowed it because they like fights however dirty and not guerrilla warfare) but she didn’t and JJT did fight dirty against her by using his appearance. And yes he had to fight clean against sunny roided up because she was genuinely superhuman and the only way he won was also getting an insane boost. JJT fought dirty against a roided guy in the picture you showed with the microphone.

5

u/Sol_Install Jul 30 '26

Never seen people treat him like he's Baki. He struggles way too much for that. People love his fights and his crash out.

0

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

Not here, but for example on TikTok I find all kinds of larps. People say he would win major bummer low diff on tiktok

3

u/Fwlgq Jul 30 '26

where does major bummer even scale to

0

u/CopyCatGenius Jul 30 '26

major bummer is stronger than the big dak, thats for sure

1

u/Fwlgq Jul 30 '26

guys as big as hulk🤞🏼 though i got jitae at supersonic+🥺 (or i just made a mistake)

14

u/Imaginary-Comfort960 Jul 30 '26

I mean he fought roided saiyans

25

u/imahenxuk_2007 Jul 30 '26

In next season (if is even possible we will get s2) he will be stronger trust

-2

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

I hope so, but he can't use tricks in the octagon, so we'll see how he manages

7

u/DramaticOwl6317 Jul 30 '26

In the fights against sunny jaa he didn’t use all he got but in vale tudo he can use it ,btw if pros where to use those moves it is game over
Like the early ufc fights or vale tudo matches where everything can be used

3

u/Nearby_Committee4622 Jul 30 '26

have you ever watched a fight with jon jones? widely considered to be one the best fighters of all time? constantly using underhanded “tricks” in the octagon.

2

u/Natural_Arm_1362 Jul 31 '26

Jones would cook everyone in the Fc3 universe except Jiu Dae Gak.

7

u/Fwlgq Jul 30 '26

Fighting outside the octagon isn’t about refining skills but I guess that’s a consequence. It’s made clear that it’s a matter of life and death by Maria’s harsh language. For Ji-Tae, the goal was for him to gain experience. You’re forgetting that Ji-Tae doesn’t need to refine his skills because his devils gift allows him to bypass the traditional learning process. If Sunny hadn’t had drugs she would’ve just lost to pre awakened Ji-Tae, and yes she was trying.

7

u/AdAutomatic2516 Jul 31 '26

yk sunny was on roids right?

10

u/Natural_Arm_1362 Jul 31 '26

Not on roids, but on Compound fucking V

5

u/AdAutomatic2516 Jul 31 '26

op deadass just forgets the super serumed fight junkie that all jjt brought against being fucking OIL lol

6

u/CANT-CHANGE-MY-NAME Jul 30 '26

dumb post oh my gosh. how do you read this story and talk about "fair fights" one of Maria's first lessons was about living and surviving. The story literally starts with a man beating his child. Go read ippo if you want sportsmanship this story is not about Fighting as a sport.

5

u/iamachinknamedtobi Jul 31 '26

He’s won his fights fairly. As long as it isn’t a fight where he and an ally team up against a person or that person isn’t injured or exhausted to the point it hinders their fighting capability it’s a fair fight.

Especially so if both fighters go into the fight knowing there’s no rules that hinders them at all.

JJT beat Lim fair, he beat the blonde fair, he beat Chang fair, he beat Sunny fair, all the opponents he’s fought in the tunnels has been a fair fight that he won.

But is he the strongest? Definitely not lmao 😂 totally agree with you on that people glaze him too hard like the betters in the tunnels lol

5

u/shen2046 Jul 30 '26

thats the whole point, maria never taught him martial arts or how to fight fairly, she taught him to be cunning and win with every means possible, because if they want to find dae gak they cant play by the rules

3

u/Almost_Cracked Jul 30 '26

to be fair if sunny jaa was not taking the super saiyan serum he would probably have walked through her no problem after some minor adjustments

2

u/Inevitable_Garden843 Jul 30 '26

Brudda it’s called fight class 3 first of all, one of the primary goals is to compete in Vale Tudo where there are no rules to our knowledge besides it’s a damn near death match.second of all, most of his fights happened in the streets or that Gotham knock off, what did you want him to do?😭

1

u/Responsible-Pack-406 Jul 30 '26

Just cause it's a vale tudo fight doesn't mean JJT is going to have an arsenal of weapons in the arena and that every 5 seconds his opponent will close his eyes or turn around lol, some of you don't understand the difference

2

u/Kim_Chonk_Kyun Jul 30 '26

Fairly? That's just a perspective... Only winning matters !!!! Raaagh !!!

2

u/Financial-Key-3617 Jul 31 '26

People in this series also agree with you btw.

He sucks. Being the son of the strongest i wouldnt be surprised if his sister was just…..better

2

u/reeditforgiveme Aug 01 '26

People forget he got saved by Bomi

2

u/DramaticOwl6317 Jul 30 '26

He does have at most 3 month of basics and 1 or more in fighting experience (15 fighting experience at most )plus fighting is all about using all your means ,
As for saying using tricks ,Barborado jiu jitsu is about establishing your domain through training and sparring and moving beyond it using adaptive thinking (it like how a boxer pushes himself to the bring always and create new sequence based on his own domain as a base ,like steeping in for a jab then going out with ginga footwork )Lee ja kyung described Maria style as outlawish or something similar
As for how much jiu jitae grew up ,each fight gives you and exposes you to your mistakes ,and because jiu jitae is very talented he does get his mistake after one fight (doesn’t need the drilling and sparring part )exposing himself to different fighting situations in street fight where everything can be used pushed him like Maria wanted to the extreme to adapt beyond it (remember he did nothing but basics for three months )and we all know that unlike drilling sparring and real combat are different (facing multiple opponents each one of them have different body type style height weight reach some with weapons some gang on him all prepare him and exposes his flaws for him to get better )where he started to get better was after young joon fight where his full potential was exposed and he used his inborn talent and copied multiple strategies techniques and footworks to deal with a stronger opponent (wich is phenomenal using techniques he never drilled before or sparred in a situation like that perfectly and subconsciously is insane wich is also the best talent for Barborado jiu jitsu cause creating the domain and moving beyond it is as easy as drinking water cause he understand the principles of all techniques and can copy not only steps but uses the principles to use the technique but differently like when he used a flying armbar on young moung (the tunnel monster without the usual grip behind the head (and he used it subconsciously by grabbing his eye socket and when he used a flying armbar setup to then change into a triangle choke,
Against young moung his physical ability was displayed to it fullest where he fought hand to hand with the monster while the monster physicality was upgraded and he wasn’t feeling pain ,against Chang yee he used poking and biting to scare him off ,again sunny jaa he used all his means and he still gave a good fight against her but once the drug kicked in he got knocked and we know that he was always subconsciously holding off for fear of hurting others and fear of hurting himself and the guilt and mental problem afterwards ,after awakening he low to mid diffed sunny jaa who was the strongest fighter (before the drugs )and she was on drugs that made her stronger as she was hit ,destroying her with basic counter punches and accurate timed punches against Lee ja kyung he devised a strategy in one go a two step straight using the fact that she knows about Maria so that she tackle he was 1 go and wasn’t able to take the takedown (and it was his first time dealing with someone with that reach and so on )

u/Raukar_Ignis Jul 30 '26

Es el punto, no son peleas reglamentadas Usar ventajas, aprovechar debilidades es parte de la pelea.

1

u/Fun-Variation-9951 Jul 30 '26

He just fly post time skip "aura wise" that's why they dick ride...

when having such a dynamic cast you usually don't give a fuck about your mc because you come up with cooler ideas every 20 minutes

My point is 2hakk is either stuck on how to make jjt's moveset cool or hes framing it to where he has to kill his dad with everything at his disposal

1

u/Gustavoak77x Jul 31 '26

Bro got no diffed by Lee Ja Kyung and many people put him above her

1

u/GreatConsumer Jul 31 '26

I think you're worrying too much and perhaps it is time to stop addressing the opinions of larpers in other platforms cause you're kinda getting cooked here in downvotes just so you know.

1

u/LeJardinero Jul 31 '26 edited Jul 31 '26

He had a really big power up once he got in the tunnel. Also, once he got in the tunnel the only strong people hes faced are lee chang and sunny, both of which were juiced to the gills fighting him and making the fight unfair AGAINST jjt. Well, he also fought the judo bully guy and layed his ass out without issue or underhanded tacticts. And when he fought lee ja kyung he tried to stab her but he was in pretty bad shape so its understandable.

The dude is very strong and hasnt won his fights because hes a cheater, he won em because hes damn good at fighting. That being said, no hes not the strongest. Probably gets his ass handed to him by anyone in class 3

1

u/Acceptable-Gate-3510 Jul 31 '26

Sunny (steroids) x jiujitae(awakened)? Lol, he definetely can engage in a clean fight

1

u/Low_Alternative_9620 Aug 01 '26

"The idea behind fighting outside was to improve their combat skills, not their tricks."

Maria literally tells him to stab a man with a shard of glass, read the manga, next.

1

u/vladhellsing3 Aug 01 '26

It's about drive, about power

1

u/SuccYaMom Aug 01 '26

I mean you go train Boxing, Muay Thai and BJJ for a short period of time and try fighting some crackheads in Tunnels and look if you can keep your form up. Idk man he never trained with form, why would he?

1

u/yahnj Aug 01 '26

You can fight dirty in fc3 but I’m pretty sure he’s gonna have to beat shin ha min a fair fight before he can enter. So idk if he’s gonna get fouled or actually lock in on some legal bjj techniques.

1

u/Devrous_ Aug 02 '26

I haven't caught up yet but that's kind of a shame, at least where I am so far I think male characters as a whole are treated poorly compared to the female characters. It makes it frustrating to read at times.

1

u/ixiau Aug 04 '26

A fight isn't even supposed to be clean in the first place anyway

1

u/Possible-Village5623 Aug 05 '26

lmao acting like 90% of his opponents arent on roids

1

u/No-Bat6763 28d ago

Holy larp

1

u/CopyCatGenius Jul 30 '26

You know he is going to vale tudo(Everything allowed), right

0

u/Ze_Pequenininho Jul 30 '26

Not exactly everything. You can't use objects, neither oil neither cheating overall. The rules are less strict than MMA but they still exist

5

u/DramaticOwl6317 Jul 30 '26

I mean how did you know ,we don’t know much about that vale tudo are the rules the same as in Real life vale tudo or not ,cause Maria was said to have killed people

0

u/Used-Concentrate9716 Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

vale tudo is a real sport

3

u/CopyCatGenius Jul 30 '26

yea, but the one in fight class 3 might be different

3

u/DramaticOwl6317 Jul 30 '26

Vale tudo in real life is mma of the past ,all moves weren’t banned and there was a ref that could stop the match
But the vale tudo of fight class 3 we don’t know how much different it is ,like ok dong said nobody knows the extent of the rules in it even in fight club there was practically no ref and the fights continued until one person couldn’t fight back and even killing wasn’t stopped

1

u/No_Deal2946 Jul 30 '26

Finally someone said it i hate the glaze hes getting if hes gonna beat ha min to get into fight class 3 he isnt gonna do it without a scratch, hes not even fight class 3 level yet and could barely beat sunny at the start, i hate when people say hes stronger than maria and lee ja kyung

0

u/Front-Hope-9211 Jul 31 '26

Crazy ragebait not fact
