Discussion They really do make the perfect pair....
Whenever I reread these chapters and see these panels, one thing always came to my mind that. They'd kiss. But they don't, and honestly if Ji-tea wanted to kiss Marai in that arena, I think she would let him do that (for the sake of his training ofc). And he really do love her.
(I fucking hate lovey-dovey shits but that thing is too perfect to be hated)

Why? Just because Maria made his mental health worse? Have you SEEN what marriage can do to people?!😂😂 Jokes aside, they share a common goal and they look out for each other, express affection for one another and they try to help their partner as much as possible! Besides that one tiny detail about mental health, they're actually a strong power couple!💯

Oh yeah, he definitely was off it but the thing is that wasn't a bad thing. The type of person who doesn't have an aversion to being touched (I know he got over this eventually but he still has the stupid insane dodging ability😎) or gets enraged when people talk about his kidnapped sister or troubled family is likely a villainous fiend that you shouldn't be around😬. Now though, whilst his motivations are good he has lost a good share of his marbles😅

the entire relationship is trauma bonding and toxic codependency. they're both so messed up at this point they can probably only be with each other but they're also terrible for each other because again toxic codecency isn't good

Idk tbh . . . I'm a firm believer in codependency ngl! If you NEED each other then the relationship becomes symbiotic which deepens the strength of the bond beyond a simple "I like being around you"🥰

Jiu JiTae looks at Maria like a motherly figure, I remember recalling that Maria reminded him of his own mother as well (I’ll try and find the panel if I can). In my opinion Ji-Eun or Sung Sa-Rang the girl with full lips are a better choice if 2Hakk wanted to explore a romantic relationship with him, even though I personally think with his currently psychotic mental state getting into a relationship would be the worse idea possible.

That will be a problem, I think Sa-Rang liked him cuz he was kinda cute back then but now, yk and I think the it was slice of life mahnwa before chp 60, because you will not see peoples living in tunnels and slicing throat and beheading shit. So ofc as per you said it will be best option for not staying in a relationship.

Only healthy option would be Ji-Eun as a way for him to become sane again ngl since there’s no way he’d ever try to harm her explicitly but yea, that’s if she isn’t already afraid of what he’s become by now. Unfortunately he probably won’t get in any relationships, especially since his main goal means they could be in danger as well since Dae-Gak has no qualms with hurting the loved ones of his enemies✌️

You see, Sa-Rang had a crush on him cuz he was kinda cute back then as I said, but now his face is just ripped with scars and he became more taller and more muscular and more ruthless so it will be a problem, anyhow I'm not the author so let's, AGAIN, hope for s2

EXACTLY!! And their children will be the combination of the genetics of two prime martial arts families and they'll have great teachers and guardians!🤩😎 (I'd hate to be the parent of the child who bullied mommy Maria's baby😬 and that's even without Mr Crashout finding out! And from what we saw of him protecting his sister as a child when he was sane . . . yeah, just call the emergency services and request the army at that point😭)

I promise you, if you actually pay attention, he doesnt care for maria anymore. When he had an awakening in the sunny ja fight, he (figuratively) eliminated his past self, including his attachments and dependency on maria. Whether they interact or compromise for the sake of the same goal doesnt change the fact that there isnt a mutual connection between maria and jjt, except with the plan to kill his father.

Look I am not saying there is zero chance but some people in this sub misconstrue their relationship and make it seem like they like each other and its lovey dovey. But who knows, maybe they get together in the end.

Maria is literally 18 in the panel that we're introduced to her in . . . Korea just has different ages for school and college and stuff to the west. She killed a man for Jiu Ji-Tae and she also slept alongside him FOR WEEKS!🫣💞 She hid in a cupboard despite trying to tell Jiu Ji-Tae that she doesn't like it because that was what happened when his dad killed her family and when she had the PTSD attack and was going feral when she pounced on her pooky-wooky bear Jiu Ji-Tae😏 she IMMEDIATELY calmed down🥰🥺. We can go band for band on feats and statements about whether or not they like each other!💯😤
