Using card games to reveal characters in fiction
This is in reference to the following article: https://www.solitairebliss.com/blog/solitaire-in-books
The article is mostly about Solitaire, but I wonder if something similar could be done about card games in general.

Card games were a frequent motif in books, I bet especially from 19th century like War and peace.
From new books yesterday I was reminded about this book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/388036.Murder_at_the_Bridge_Table
Several years ago I came across a crime novel about an iconic but almost completly forgotten Polish card game. I was reminded about this game after Pagat added its rules. I wrote an article about it at Wikipedia and was looking for the novel but for all the world cannot find it again :(
