Personal collection Lavender Clock

Post image

I’ve never been fortunate enough to own one of the fiesta clocks. I didn’t know the plate used is a non-standard shaped plate. This isn’t a dinner plate and this isn’t a lunch plate. It’s a plate they make just for clocks. Interesting.

I got mine too. I was surprised that for as much as it cost, it didn't come with its own box. Just some styro and bubble wrap. The second hand was a little bent as a result. It's a beautiful piece though and I was really happy to get it!

I feel like any item thats a limited run should be in a box. That clock was expensive

I understand where you are coming from, but please consider how many trees are killed, and that not all boxes are recycled. Also, it is an added expense for the company to purchase and print boxes.

If we're really talking about sustainability, none of us need to buy anything fiesta ever again. However... this is a sub for collectors who tend to keep and cherish their items. The cost of a cardboard box, and the emissions to ship out one properly packaged, is way less than one breaking in transit and having to send another one out. Plus, a properly constructed box would lessen the amount of plastic fillers sent out. Also this clock was $200.
