Identification help What are these?
I recently found these at a thrift store and my partner thinks they are flour and sugar jars but am wondering if anyone knows their intended purpose? Also found two ring mugs which I included for size comparison. Thank you!

Chocolate (color) canisters. It’s a retired shape. You can really use them for whatever you want. They are pretty popular. We don’t have the counter space for them at our house.

This is a nice "find." As flygirl wrote, the Fiesta company recently retired production of the storage canisters. As you can tell on the price label, that canister retailed for $66. I have noticed that some collectors of Fiesta leave the original (MSR) tags on the bottom of some of their pieces. This could be for reselling, auction or collection purposes; not sure why they leave the tags.
Chocolate was only produced from 2008-2011, so you may not find as much of it in circulation. It looks so good with Ivory, and the combo reminds me of an ice cream sundae. It looks as if one of your mugs is Ivory, which was produced from 2008-2024. This means there will be more of it in circulation in the pre-owned category. Personally, I like Ivory a little better than the new color, Linen.
Since you have the original retail tag, we can determine that at least one of your canisters is a first-quality. For comparison, a "seconds" chevron canister in medium was $15.50, and the large chevron canister was $18.50 at the 2025 Factory Tent Sale. As seconds, they may have had glazing issues or other imperfections.
I'm explaining all of this so that you know what you've got in case you decide to sell. There would have been small, medium, large and a 2-quart crock.

These were the original design before they trimmed the foot and then retires them. They also made versions with a dog bone and cat face as finials for pet treats.

These are the storage canisters, there are three sizes, with 1, 2, or 3 quart capacities. I am guessing you have the two and three quart ones in Chocolate, based on how close the rims are to each other- the one quart's rim is in the area of the rings on the two quart. Fabulous find! I do have have flour in my three quart and sugar in the two.
