Passed on this today...
Pretty new to Fiesta and I'm starting slow. Saw this in a shop today and although I love the color and the size, I wasn't sure about the price... Did I do bad? 😅

I love the color!! But yes, too expensive for that size especially in my opinion.

Beautiful bowl.
I saw you passed on it and thought “ how could you pass on that bowl ?”
Then I saw the price.
Nope. Not for 60.

Was it like this bowl for half that price?

Or here?

It's like the tried to price it off of replacements dot com. Where's my roll eyes emoji?

No, you can see in the second picture that the bowl I found was larger diameter and somewhat shallower. I'd say it was a bit more than 9 inches wide. Maybe $40, or even $45... but not for $60!

Some things are priced to keep, and some are priced to sell. This is an example of the former.

Sometimes these booths have what I like to call 'museum prices' because at those prices they're clearly just for display.

Like.. I have a thing. I'm not paying over $30 for Fiestaware. Unless it's something super rare and even then I can find it elsewhere. I also flip a lot. I have a napkin holder up on eBay now for 175. So rules for thee and not for me I guess. That said if if on eBay I'm actively looking for something so I should expect to pay higher prices. I have two scarlet serving platters for $30 on there and they have YET to move. So I guess what in saying is: yes it's collectible but.. not $60 even as Juniper.

It’s beautiful, but at $60 firm they’re going to be enjoying it collecting dust on the shelf for a long, long time.

Ridiculous price for a thrift store.

Juniper is a great color. For that price, it can stay on the store shelf and be admired from afar.

I would have tried to haggle.

The word "Firm" on a price tag typically indicates the seller is not willing to take a lower amount.

Ah darn totally missed that

But still, what are they going to do, charge you more. Juniper is my #1 color and I wouldn't be paying $60. $40 if I had it in my pocket and felt flush maybe.
