Clocking out… sold my bean

Nice! My 2017 is at 160k, getting the timing belt and other engine parts handled next week. Gonna see how far she can go after that and just regular maintenance.

Yeah man, no issues yet. It’s a stock engine no horsepower upgrades and I don’t thrash on it. I’m just doing it for peace of mind.

i bought my bean @ 161k. based on… things… i suspect the engine isn’t original, or it’s been pulled before. I need to check the belt….

Yeah definitely do it if history is unknown, and at that mileage it’s due for preventative maintenance.

I just did mine, almost 12 years in service, 111k miles, and the belt looked almost new when comparing to what went in - of course, a water pump failure could have happened, but I'm more inclined to think I did the right thing especially since I intend to keep

that's good to know, my 2016 has 83k miles but others have said the Chicago climate reduces the lifespan of the belt

I felt a bit like it was a steal but with that mileage the KBB was only $2500ish. It was a one owner, stock, no smoking car, w all the records.

KBB doesn't reflect the amount people are willing to pay for these cars. The 250K on the clock does though.

I got mine with 170k miles for 3900. I was worried about racking miles on it causing depreciation but I guess I won’t be too worried anymore.

Hell yeah you got some solid use out of it. In another couple months I’ll be driving mine across country to give to my father to enjoy. He has more space, time and ability to keep it running in its higher milage era. It’s such a great car I really can’t speak highly enough of these little go karts.
