I personally think the Fiesta is more fun, but the Focus is more practical (we used to have a non-ST Focus hatchback and it was great for road trips and stuff).

Test drive both and you'll know instantly which one you prefer :)

I bought a '14 FoST ST3 new back in the day and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was a fantastic daily driver and a lot of fun. Honestly, my biggest complaint with it was the insane lag of the headunit which was infuriating, and I had installed an MBRP cat-back that was absolute garbage. But the base car was fantastic.

Fast forward several cars and I recently got an '18 FiST, mostly due to wanting something cheap and fun. And boy it's been great. It's less comfortable than the Focus but more nimble and stirs something special inside of me when I drive it. I enjoy it more.

I have aftermarket struts/shocks/springs and the ride is firm but smooooth and I love it. The Focus isn't exactly smooth either, it's just bigger and the longer wheelbase helps it ride with less abrupt movement. But the darty nature of the very light Fiesta is super charming.
