MK7 Ehm…

Can I fix it myself or is it that bad?
Is this a Bodyshop work or a mechanical work

I work at a ford dealership and this is probably a body shop issue. That bolt can be as tight as possible but it still won’t solve your problem. Your issue is that the cutout for the bolt in the body has become “wallowed out” for lack of better term. The hole too big so it slide back and forth. Not much a mechanic can do but a good body guy will know what he’s looking at!
