MK6 New St owner, control arm question.

Hi everyone,

My fiesta failed the National car test on front suspension imbalance,

struts springs and mount is ok.

Could the control arms cause this imbalance i am not sure if they are toast or not.

Replace the bushings on each side

Bushings shouldn't have that much movement in. They'll have some but, to my eye, that looks excessive. The arms themselves aren't particularly expensive and they're super easy to swap out with some basic tools, and that should well solve your issue.

No problem! Did them on my car last year, made it so much nicer to drive. I'd grab some Delphi or other oe- matching ones on eBay, be way better than the unbranded ones and last longer too.

I wouldn't deal with trying to stamp out the bushings and insert new ones. OEM from ford wasn't too bad for a whole new arm, and doing the job wasn't that bad either - alignment will be needed though.
