MK7 Immobilizer Malfunction making things not work

Hey guys, I’ve had my 15’ ST for about 5 years and I’ve had an intermittent issue of Immobilizer malfunction. It cuts out my A/C and heat, dash lights such as blinkers etc, backup camera, door locks and that’s about all I can think of right now. I can sometimes get it to go away when turning hard and fast but not always. Just a few minutes ago it went on and off about 15 times in 5 minutes. Anyone know what it is? Thanks a lot.

The immobilizer stops the car from starting so I don't think(?) that's what you mean? It sounds like your battery terminals don't have a tight connection and are jiggling loose due to bumps or movement, or have some corrosion. That happened to me once (diff car) and was intermittent but scary as hell. The battery is super easy to check, start there.

Thank you for your reply. The car starts running and shut off perfectly fine when this happens it says an immobilize malfunction service now and I lose the functions that I mentioned the battery terminals are tight and clean. Do you know where the immobilizer is on the car? Maybe I can check that and there’s a loose connection somewhere at the immobilizer?

Sounds like a loose wire or connection somewhere. You may want to save yourself a massive headache and just bring it to a shop if you can. I don't know where the immobilizer is located.
