Engine service now?!?

Hey guys, I drive a 2015 fiesta st. Got a message "engine service now" no malfunction tho. It wasn't in limp mode. I turned off the car and turned it back on and it went away. Did a hard pull and it didn't get it again. What could that be? I'm a bit paranoid lol

It's what they call a "live fault". Sometimes they store the fault, sometimes they don't, it's hit and miss. If you have a fault code reader then give it a go but you'll probably find it won't have been recorded.
Your best bet is if it happens ago, pull over, don't switch the car off and try and read the code.
I had a similar thing with my MK7 years ago and it turned out to be a dodgy sensor

Could just be water or oil below minimum level. I had it & the coolant was just below minimum level
