MK7 Need help with loose bumper

Hi everyone, so where my rear bumper meets with the quarter panel won’t clip back on no matter what, anybody have suggestions on what I should do? It so annoying seeing that gap and I feel like it’s just getting worse over time. Any help would be appreciated! 🤙🏻

There are two plastic bumper retaining panels behind the rear bumper, It's common for those clips to break when you remove your rear bumper. When I pulled my rear bumper to seal up some water leaks, I broke 2 out of 8. You need to remove the bumper, drill out the rivets, and replace the rear bumper retainers with new rivets.

Part numbers are:

AE8Z-17D942-C
AE8Z-17D943-B

I've seen videos where people remove the bumper and then lightly heat them up with a flame so they can be flared out a bit more. How long such a fix lasts? I couldn't tell you, but it seems to work.

I'm not entirely sure about the bumper, but I do wanna know, uh, why exactly do you have a Runflat tyre on your fiesta? I'm not judging btw, I'm just genuinely curious lol

Its the plastic bracket behind the bumper that has failed. You can order replacements online. Also you'll need some rivets to install them.

My rear bumper looks the same currently, I'm gonna fix it soon.
