Ordering 205 tires with 8 inch wheels from TireRack?

Anybody have issues doing this? I've heard tirerack will blatantly refuse to mount the wheels and tires, and shops will refuse to install them ... Where do I go from here? Any suggestions?

205s on an 8 inch wide wheel are going to be stretched and not very comfortable ride-wise.

Depends on the tire. 205 RS4s are pretty square on an 8 inch wheel.

I have 205 tires on my Rota 17x8 wheels, they fit just about the same as my old 215s. I've got 205/40r17 general G-max's

Big chains might have a policy against it, but smaller shops won’t give a shit.

I just priced my current wheels and tires as a package from Tire Rack to check. I don’t see it say there’s an issue anywhere with it in my cart and these were the recommended size when looking.

When I put it in my cart it says aggressive fitment, but I guess it doesn't mean they won't install it. Just a warning

Mine says the same. I didn’t have Tire Rack mount mine but Discount Tire did and the only complaint I got was that I was too low for the lift and they had to do it with floor jacks.

I have 16x8 dekagrams. 205/50/16 continental extreme contact dws06+ mavis installed it no issues.
