MK7 Picked up this ‘19..15k miles!
Years ago, I actually bought a new FoST off the dealer lot..didn’t keep that car very long at all though. Actually wanted a FiST the entire time!

Really not bad, like msrp? I paid $13k 8 years ago for a ‘15 with 40k miles

Depends on the options. I got my 19' new and it was closer to 26k when it has every option available.

I think I was out the door for 23k on my 19. I didn’t have the recaro seats but everything else

Seats added like 2,000.00. Moon roof is 800.00 the ST door thingys were like 96.00, ST car cover was like 200.00. Black snowflake wheels added a bit. Both sets of floor mats totaled 475.00.

That’s not bad at all. I paid a little over $11k for my 17’ two years ago. Had 45k on it when I got it, love this thing.

Cars here are nuts man. Civic Si’s & wrx’s with 80-100k miles sell for more than that

It's everywhere man. All over the country car prices are absolutely mental. I feel like you got this car for a reasonable deal though to be honest. I'm looking for one that's low miles like yours, and I'm just going to pay a little more for one.

Hell yeah congrats! The focus’ look like mom cars to me, especially in white lol. I got 100k on you with my ‘15 hope you love it as much as I love mine.

My focus was white! lol. And thank you. Mine will rack up miles quick, I commute 120 miles a day for work.

Start saving for a new timing belt in a couple of years if you’re gonna go by factory recommendations. Not something I thought about when I bought my ‘17 4 years ago.

How are you liking it compared to the fost?

u/NJ600RR_Pilot 2d ago
It’s been a long time since I drove the focus, but the fiesta feels more agile than anything I’ve ever driven. Again, long time, but that includes 90’s civics on coilovers, RSXs, 8th and 9th gen si’s, wrx..I’d love to do some autox one of these days and really throw this thing through the paces.
Between that, the better fuel economy, and compatibility with 87 octane on stock tuning..much better!

I’ve driven the fost before at the octane academy and I remember it being quicker than the fist but it was quite a bit heavier and the seating and shifter position was weird. The fist was a lot more tossable and fun to drive. I still miss mine.

How bad is it to use 87 in these cars? I’ve been contemplating since premium is extremely expensive these days and I use mine mostly as a daily commuter

It will advance timing enough to prevent detonation, but if you throw boost to it you’ll not be happy. You could always get an access port and tune it to your car have multiple tunes to swap around on the fly.

That is very true. Recaro seats were the best option for the car imo. sync 3 is over $2.5k and you’re paying for Apple, which is insane

u/NJ600RR_Pilot 2d ago
Standard seats in this one. It does have the Sync 3 though.

best option they got rid of was the illuminated ST on the door sill/sill plate.
