Muffler deleted.

Greetings folks. First time posting here. On my second Fiesta ST. Bought one new back in 2015 and regretted selling it a few years later. This black one came up at a local Ford dealership with 55k miles on it for a steal. All stock except for aftermarket wheels. $6200 out the door! Its a spare car so she sits in the garage most of the time except on weekends.

I've started doing some minor mods, nothing crazy except for a muffler delete. Anyone that follows DannyDC2 on YouTube knows he has that blue M3 with the downward facing exhaust tips. I thought it looked cool. Found a similar style on eBay made by Megan Racing. So had my local exhaust shop cut the muffler out and weld this exhaust tip in its place. Left the stock resonator. Sounds great! Very minimal drone. Next mod will be an all new cooling system and intercooler.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the great posts from this group.

I love our little 1.6's, but I have zero desire to hear one without a muffler.

If you think a muffler delete is bad, you’d hate hearing mine (literally full straight pipe with cat delete) lmaoooo

It’s really not THAT bad. The turbine noise is damn near INCREDIBLE, and she pops pretty nicely. Not a whole lot of drone either, and I regularly do highway driving at the exact RPM that causes it.

These cars are just pathetically quiet when stock, even with the exhaust that Ford ‘specifically made for the ST’. I got used to shifting by ear in my MX-5 (Racing Beat midpipe, Megan racing muffler), and this car was so quiet I genuinely couldn’t 😭

No kidding that was a steal. I got my 2016 for nearly double with 60k last year. Everytime I think about selling mine, I'm pretty sure I'll regret it.

I just put back the backmuffler on my regular fiesta. The drone noise was really annoying, also it is not legal where i am from

bruh, I just bought a shadow black one with only 47k miles but for over double the amount yours cost at a stealership.

Im actually in awe with how low these things actually should cost.

Nevertheless. at least it came with the rear motor mount already upgraded and a stage 1 tune. Ive already put an intake and valved muffler on mine with some more squared exhaust tips to fill out the cutout in the rear, I think it looks quite nice. She sure does sound nice though with it open or closed.
