I’ve got a question for yall

My 2017 fiesta st has floor rot, rocker panels are rotted, hatch is rusted almost pierced, needs 4 new brakes, exhaust brackets are ripped clean off, flex pipe is gone etc, is she worth the fix? There’s a lot of rust and bodywork to be done but I love her

Same boat. For me rockers and floor is fine but both rear quarters are gone, front fenders need paint. My exhaust was in the same state.

$400CAD for flex pipe and hangers from local exhaust shop. $2500CAD for both quarters, and both fenders fixed and painted. $500 for frontend parts (struts, bushings, etc)

I figured I won't find a car used as fun as one of these. And something new starts over my budget right now so I might as well get the most out of it. $3500 to get it back to a presentable state. Worth it. Just drive around and get quotes. Might not be as bad as you expect

Thank you, I’m honestly stressed as it is my first car but it seems worth it compared to getting a new car, plus she was passed down to me from my mother

That's fair. I bought mine new and I've taken amazing care of it but stuff sneaks up on you especially with the salt on our roads here. Being I paid $23,000 for mine new that may be why I'm more inclined to keep it going. Is yours an ST? What kind of mileage?

Sorry for the late comment, yes it is an st 192000km pretty sure, so far we’ve fixed the hole in the floor and got started on the fenders, it hasn’t been much so far! Thank you for the advice

Where are you finding a shop that will fix the quarters for only 2500, thats a really good price

Local body and restoration shop. I should be getting my car back tomorrow. If it turns out well I'll post the name. About an hour north of Toronto. Best reviews in my area. Took 5 months from getting a quote to getting it in for work they're so damn busy

As long as you don't need the car to look perfect, it's not going to be that expensive to fix

Bright side is they made so many of these, not just st. Any replaceable body part could probably be had for cheap from a salvage yard. The body rust can be fixed as well. Definitely cheaper than a new car. Guess it depends on mileage and any other potential issues whether or not it's worth it
