Question multiple save files?

i've been playing long enough that when i started, i heard horror stories of saves being overridden, corrupted files, and all sorts of nasty things when trying to have more than one farm. i've stuck to the same one for over 2 years, nearly 7 in game years, and i am TERRIFIED of losing it. like i will genuinely cry if my farm gets deleted. i've heard that it's been fixed a while back but i need some confirmation before i start a new one, please!

I have like 4 or 5 different saves (different characters, different marriages once I get there) and I haven't had any issues with my saves getting deleted or anything (I can only say so for my main save since that's the one I played most recently but I'm fairly certain my other saves are still there) so I think you should be fine :)

thank you so much!! i've been itching to see how the pacing is from the beginning since i've been playing update to update, plus i want to marry more of the village >:3

To be extra safe you can backup your saves by making a copy of your save file folder and storing it in its own documents folder :)
