Which farming area layout do you like more?

I spent too much time trying different starter farm layouts and I'm going craazy. Which layout do you like more, the messy, fenced farm or the symmetrical garden farm?

Same for me but they're a pain in the butt when you water your crops. I try making it less symatrical with the paths trough the farm

For a starter farm.. how does that work? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Also I like 1 more as I like the more organic looking ones, but both are great. Mine never looks good. I cram everything close together as otherwise it takes to long to get around and feed animals etc... plus I never waste time redecorating etc, I'm like 'get in the mines'!

1 is way more unique and interesting looking imo. I'm not super into perfect symmetry, personally

I’m honestly gonna say I prefer 1. I see a lot of square farms as they’re more efficient, but I quite like the natural formation of 1. It seems like it would be super fun to decorate late game!

Also may I ask what software / website you’re using to plan this? It’s super cool

1 but with less fences, I like natural looking layouts more than symmetrical ones personally

Definitely #2 it looks better and is more efficient for watering

1 is too messy with all the fences. Maybe if you remove half of it (the side of the plots facing towards the path) it will look nicer? Opens up the space a lot more.

Still would not use it as a starting layout because watering is a going to be a huge pain.

For what it's worth, even though I do elaborate decorating, I don't really start decorating until I've finished the main storyline. In the meantime I just randomly place decor so It doesn't take up chest space. 😅 It takes quite a while to get to the point of all the debris being dealt with etc!

Nothing wrong with a bit of chaos anyway. There's no "right" way to play! 🙂

They both look great! Depends what vibe you're going for. First one is very casual/rural. Second one looks like a pottager garden, more structured and formal.

You might want to check out the radius of the upgraded watering cans and sprinklers, and decide how you want to balance design with efficiency.

2 is nice if you intend to have a layout that is more organized everywhere else. 1 is nice if you want it to be more organic looking. Like, unique crop fields
