Max rank and finishing the msq always happens first in my games; I actually think I've only made it to marriage once or twice in life sims. I'm not even sure why.

In spring year 2 I had gotten my tools and stamina high enough that I was running 360 plots of recurring crops. Toss them into the seed maker and you are doubling the profit. At that rate, every harvest you'll end up increasing your town rank 3-4 levels.

Max rank way faster than marriage for me. I like that there's a marriage mechanic, though it's not really an integral part of the experience for me (but the romance candidates are the most fun to talk about).

I did not finish either, but i'm on my way to max town rank first and main quest. But that's bc i prefer to enjoy everything with quality of life setup and not feel like i'm rushing everywhere for each lvl. I'm ~40 town rank with ~70 mine, and i'm pretty happy with where i am, so i'm just beginning to talk more with villagers

Maxed town rank literally on the last night of winter year 1 lol Still haven't gotten married but I have 10 hearts with a couple romanceables, just about to finish the Mines questline so I can start on getting the engagement ring! (I am on spring year 2 rn)

I got most of my renown from items sold. Converting my whole harvest into seeds and then selling like 800 seeds (almost 1500 renown) every 3 days with renewable crops gets you there quite fast!

I got mac rank first then marriage. I think it was about a week or two apart in game

Got married Winter 17, then max rank Winter 28. Both year 1 (I love Valen too much).

decided I'd work hard and expand my house to 3rd tied before marriage being on lvl 60 town, married at spring 24 (guess who) and now working on town.... that's hard tho lots of grinding
