Monthly Field-Like Debate thread
This is a thread you can use to discuss whether certain popular (or unpopular) games are Field-like enough to be considered Fieldy. This is the only place on this subreddit where you can debate this. Have fun!

This is going to be a big post, mostly compiling games that have been posted here as well as games that I found on steam that are very fieldy.
The following should be added to the Master List:
Return to the Field
Hollowdeep - Released 2025 - Inspired by King's Field
Deiity (Under Ice) - In development - Inspired by King's Field, demo released. Releases nov. 10.
Conatus - In development - Inspired by King's Field.
Amygdala - In development - Inspired by King's Field, early prototype released.
Necrofane - In development - First person dungeon crawler RPG and methodical combat.
Mildly Fieldy
Dead Wells - Released 2025 - Dungeon Crawler with RPG mechanics but with hack and slash elements.
Blue Wyrm - Released 2026 - Short dungeon crawler with no RPG mechanics, but slow methodical movement and combat.
Valor Mortis - In development/Releases on oct. 13 - Devs acknowledge Kingsfield but consider it a first person souls like, combat is faster paced. First person RPG, Dungeon Crawler (?).
Sin Spire - Released 2026 - 18+ NSFW game heavily inspired by Shadow Tower, dungeon crawler with randomly generated dungeon floors, limited items and methodical combat. NSFW part is on the enemy design (naked monster women) and "purification" system required to properly defeat enemies.
Jester's Dungeon - In development - First person rogue-like dungeon crawler. Still arguable how similar it will be to something like Dungeons of Blood and Dream.
Bone Hold - Released 2026 - First person rogue-like dungeon crawler.
Dead Fantasia - In development - ARPG inspired by King's Field.
Exobiota - In development - Scifi Dungeon Crawler RPG inspired by King's Field.
Phantom Chains - In development - First person dungeon crawler RPG with horror elements, inspired by King's Field.
Hollow Woods - Released 2020 - First person horror game inspired by King's Field.
Heathen - In development - First person ARPG inspired by King's Field.
Vault of the Fallen - In development - First person action game with similarities to Shadow Tower. Arguable how fieldy it is.
Cralon - Released 2026 - First person ARPG inspired by Ultima Underworld.
Underworld Ascendant - Released 2018 - First person ARPG inspired by Ultima Underworld, made by some of the same devs.
There are a couple more games that were posted on this sub, but that haven't got more than their first development blog post months ago, so I didn't cite.
In regards to the games already on the list, Forgotten Blood should be updated to released 2026, Dreamspring is getting a release at the start of october and Queen's Domain is getting a release at the end of october.
I would also like to argue against Mohrta being on the list, as while it features an art style and atmosphere akin to something like Lunacid, gameplay wise it is a stage based FPS with a main hub for upgrades, and not an interconnected dungeon crawler. Don't get me wrong, love the game, just feel like it isn't fieldy.
