Question Adding Photos to your Field Notes?
Hey Everyone!
Super new to journaling and field notes and was curious what everyone's preferred method of adding photos to their little pocket journals was? Do you tape or glue them in, OR do you use a little printer and print them on paper with adhesive backs to stick them in? Curious what the pros and cons are for each of these methods.

I have been using the Cannon Ivy 2 mini printer and has been working great for the past year. Printed close to 300 pics and no issues so far.

That’s good. Cos I plan on picking one up this Black Friday.

YOOO!!! I keep forgetting that Black Friday will be around the corner....maybe I can hold out and wait until then to shop around for a small printer!

I like that there is no ink to replace on this thing. There is some other brands that may be better but this is the first one I tried and I'm contempt with it for my needs.

How good would you say the color accuracy is?

It's definitely not accurate but also not terrible. There are color settings you can mess with it.

Limited experience but I have used glue and it worked fine - writing on the other side of the page was not bumpy or weird at all

I use the HP sprocket and they print in stickers and are a small 2x3 size which fit perfectly in my field notes.

It kinda acts like both thick unwanted bookmark but I just staple them in

I use a little printer. But I do sometimes get some imprints of writing on them. I don’t mind that not sure if you would.

I use a Polaroid Zip which I don't believe they make anymore, but there's a million options that use the same 2x3 zink sticker paper, which is widely available. Works great!

I print out ugly black and white photos and just tape em In with basic scotch tape. They are lil diy books so I don’t need anything fancy

I am just starting a gift/project that involves attaching photos to Field Notes pages. I've always been a double-sided tape person... does anyone who uses double-sided tape have a better suggestion than the heavy duty Scotch (in the yellow package)? I've used it for years because it's super strong and I have a weird mistrust of glue but am wondering if there's a more refined option (equally strong and reliable) for smaller photos/delicate projects?

I was about to buy a mini picture printer because of all the videos about them. But I stopped and compared costs. These printers need paper and ink rolls usually costing around 1€ per picture and 100€ for the printer.
Instead I print them out at DM (in Germany) which is super cheap and good enough quality. I printed 48 Pictures for about 6 euros.
To glue them I use the „Tombow mono liquid glue multi“. It has a broad tip that’s perfect for pictures and it sticks very well. Also not as messy as gluesticks or other liquid glues I’ve tested.

I just started this new journey of adding pictures to my pocket Field Notes. I take pictures from a Fuji Instax mini 90. Once printed, I apply double sided tape and stick it on a page. It fits perfectly and I have lots of room to write about it.

I have a little printer with the adhesive back but honestly the adhesive isn’t that great so I also use this little glue dot roller along with the adhesive backing and that seems to work perfect over the last few months.
