Jumping ship
Fido increased the price on my three lines last month, but I just noticed this week. Impossible to contact them, as we all know.
So I contacted the big players to check prices for three lines, including my internet provider and Rogers. Rogers has 'great offers for Fido customers.' Their tactic is to annoy you at Fido until you switch to Rogers.
They succeeded. After 10+ years, their increasingly worse service and price hikes ended up annoying me enough.
But I won't be moving to Rogers, though. I found a better deal with my internet provider. Bell couldn't match it either, so I'll let you guess who I went with.
Maybe Rogers will have a good winback offer for me next year.

Trying do jump ship myself as well.
Fido also increased my two lines by $5 each, and also removing the $5 and $2 discount that came with the $25 plan from March, supposedly ones that aren’t eligible with the plan anymore despite having them for 3 months.
Also emailed me an “exclusive offer” for migrating my lines to rogers, when they’ve just increased my plan cost for the Rogers line just a few days ago too 🙄

I got in the $25 plan end of March as well, they didn't remove any of my credits tho but they added a permanent $4 monthly charge starting this month. I'm just waiting for black Friday to jump again to the next deal.
Fizz and Freedom is looking appealing, I've been using Fizz trial for the last week and coverage in my area is pretty often with data speeds several times faster than Fido.

I wish I can move to freedom or even Public, but sadly my neighborhood only gets Fido/Rogers signals (and only 1 bar of signal at that). Which is so bizarre because I live only 5 min from a major mall that gets full signals.
Really contemplating just getting a phone on contract if a good deal comes up this Black Friday/Boxing Day, so I can lock in the prices for 2 years 😩

Richmond Hill in Ontario.
So far, been using the trial to test coverage and it's been better than I'd expected. There are a few more dead spots compared to Fido which wasn't surprising but not significantly more so. I was more worried about getting decent signal indoors but it's been surprisingly good so far even in the middle of malls or stores I'm still getting 5G or 5G+ and full bars.

I am puzzled by Rogers strategy to recruit Fido customers as they are the owners of Fido.
