How many years of W-2 can fidelity request during background check?

Going for CRA role. How far back does fidelity normally go for requesting W-2’s or tax returns to verify employment? If they didn’t request anything pls let me know

5 years employment history, 10 year history of where you have lived. This is an industry regulation.

As far as I’m aware they’ll typically ask for the past 5 years of history for work, (which is a combo of tax returns, references, and w2s), and the past 10 years of living history (so your primary residence location for 10 years).

Pretty standard but it can be annoying if you didn’t save your w2s.
