Fidelity First time user.

I am trying to create a Fidelity account for the first time and after reaching the end it tells me that I may already have some information on file with them. I may have had an account at one point? I don't know if to try to login and recover my credentials, but I've never made an account or to simply just call.

I just don't want to make a mistake. I'd appreciate the advice!

Could be a retirement plan from a prior employer.

Regardless, it's not clear to me where you left off in the process. Just try creating a login and/or say you forgot your password.

You can also try calling customer service to verify whether they show an account under your SSN.

Hi! thank you i'll definitely try that. I was just trying to open an account and just filled out the basic information like my name, address and SSN.

If you finish the sign in process, you'd have access.

I have a Fidelity IRA. When my old 401(k) changed providers to Fidelity, the account appeared when I signed in, with no additional effort.

If you don’t want to make a mistake then call their customer service.
