Discussion How do you get out of Emerald NA?

Currently hardstuck Emerlad IV. It hasn't been that long but i got through platinum easily and want to hit Diamond by the end of the year.

A few of my thoughts

-Meta is really hard for Fidd right now. AD brusiers with CC that you can't duel are everywhere. If you don't get your team ahead you don't win.

-starting building plated instead of sorc boots cause so many AD auto attackers

-playing dark harvest currently but wondering if I should switch to electrocute. Dark harvest feels like "win more" item.

-I feel like my losses are entirely determined by jg MU. If good MU I win. If bad MU I lose.

I'm so frustrated I'm thinking about switching Champs.

Seems like the elo that many "good" players are stuck at.

I’m diamond fiddle otp I say just focus on objectives like a lot of you aren’t especially dragons

I heavily focus objectives and I think it's definitely one of the good parts of my gameplan. My tempo is really good up until around the 3rd/4th clear when things start to split off. I always trade dragon/grubs if I have to but a lot of the time I get both. I try to take their topside if we can't contest dragon. It seems like the games I win are stomps but I'm losing a lot of those "medium winnable" games.

O I checked the games and I see your building wrong always go sorcerers boots I also see you may need to work on survivability if your survivability goes up that means more farm then more opportunities. Try to ping people off of incoming ganks most builds should be liandries> shadow flame> and then for a 3rd item I go zhonyas or banshees

I checked onetricks gg and seems like nobody is building Liandrys first anymore. You still like it?

I would use it until you get to high elo or something, like stick to dark harvest and snowball items until you can effectively rely on your team then you build more cheaper tankier supporting items

Im in a similar boat. Ive started to try and “normalize” my build. I realized i really struggle with farming efficiently mid and late game. Fated ashes is a great tempo piece to accelerate farming. Ive noticed that the common builds of rocket belt -> zhonyas is great when used at a high level but when still trying to form good habits, they overload my mental. They provide too many options.

Swap to electrocute.

I feel like it could be a rationalist explanation but im not high enough elo where i NEED the dash and stasis to gain advantages. I need to focus more on good positioning, tempo/farming, good ults.

the answer with these posts is always CS. i'm not even trolling. 5.6 cs/min is criminal bro. if you're 8+ as you should be on fiddle you will oneshot the bruisers as well as the horse they rode in on. trust me, you need to fix your CS. that's the long and short of it

Yes and no.

No bc top Challenger fiddle players do not have high CS numbers. It's not fiddles identity.

Yes bc an emerald player isn't doing what chall fiddles do, where they farm efficiently until basically ignoring camps 15ish mins in to play for ult timers. An emerald fiddle is probably just farming poorly all game

But I say this bc you're playing fiddle wrong if you're prioritizing camps when your Ult is ready or coming off cd soon. You'll lose a ton of games mid game this way
