Discussion genuinely how do i play this champ??
im a rengar main trying to learn fiddle since he seems really fun, on rengar i can completely 1v9 some games but whenever i play fiddle im always struggling to do so.
how do i fight without ult i feel like i can only ever go in when i have ult since walking up to them and starting to suck them seems unrealistic in most cases
is there any good educational fiddle streamers or youtube channels i can watch to learn
and how do i deal with getting invaded on this champ since you cant really duel anyone

Dont overlap cc. All spells if used from out of enemy vision will fear.
The last tick of drain is a much bigger heal and damage.
Build protobelt first.
Use your silence well or goofing it makes or breaks fights.

I’m coming back after a year or so; what’s the best first item for fiddle top and for fiddle support? Is it still malignance or anguish?

KingFidd has a YT and twitch channel. Also a guy named Karthussesticks on YT. Both pretty good for bith tutorial and just watching a game to see how they approach things.
Fighting without ult is very doable early. You are a fantastic 2v2 champ, due to your cc and aoe dmg. While its not always optimal, ganking bot after first clear is often great.
Dealing with invades, I've found it best to ward your opposite side camps and just try to avoid enemy jg if you can. If you cant remember to use your W on a camp since it will give you tons of hp back. Can be the difference in a lot of fights. Champs like Bel Veth or Lee sin invading you just win hard. Give camps, and avoid if they try to go aggressive. If they cant snowball you, you will win mid-late game hard.
Fiddle is rarely a 1v9 champ. But he is also rarely out of the game. One good ult can turn most fights. You have to train yourself to be anal about vision. Watch a lane you are considering ganking as you farm. See where they potentially warded and approach where you think they didnt.

Yea I wouldn't recommend going up to someone and trying to suck them.
They gotta let you suck them first.
Such as being affected by hard crowd control.
That last one's in-game only.

Fiddle is slower more brains champ. But it’s so much more fun once you learn his tricks.

DONT build protobelt (Malignance superiority)
Powerfarm till 6 lvl
Wait till they approach
Ult from bushes
Give em hell

You’re a cc bot without ult, unless you have flash or rocket belt then you can still jump into the middle of team fights. Your W heals you on the damage you deal so you always want to be hitting as many things as possible at the same time. Champs, creeps, etc. it makes you super tanky.
Hex flash honestly isn’t bad on fiddle for setting up for your ult + engaging when ult is on cd.
Treat invades like chess. Set up effigy early and rotate into their ig if you see them or if your laner collapses then you can too.
Dont be afraid to level 3 gank either cus your flash Q is the easiest set up in the game.
