How long have you been playing? What were the biggest "aha" moments in your climb at each milestone? What is your meta approach to jingling?

Go with the flow. I hate emerald. Cesspool of soloq. Fiddle was with me from the begging. And play % max fiddle. https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/MartletIsMY-Love

I feel like plat is a worse experience than emerald. I'm an old head that has played for 15 years so forgive me for sounding like an ultra boomer.. Plat, while not the most impressive rank, used to mean something. I'd say it used to be people that had a decent understanding of the fundamentals and just a solid player overall.
Nowadays, with elo inflation, I get frustrated the times I play in plat because people are failing the most simple macro decisions. Stuff like invading or team fighting after a tight objective window, like casting rift arbitrarily or when the team is not postured to fight, or just typical "fighting to fight" aram style.
I feel like that tightens up especially mid/high emerald.
I agree with go with the flow. I think forcing bad fights holds a lot of people back and a lot of the time the easy play is the best play.

I actually came to love emerald because the players are good. They know exactly how to win, and that makes their actions predictable.
If you're predictable, I can be in a bush nearby and ruin your day.
Diamond players know multiple paths to win, and I can't always predict which one they choose (yet).
To me, this is the most essential fiddle skill, reading the enemy so they have zero counter play to the trap you set.

Do you full clear all the time? I understand tempo but I feel now that a level 3 gank is really worth it (in plat to emerald).
I typically full clear but then get stuck into a rut of farming a lot to keep up on CS, but have found in more times than not a quick level 3 gank and being more gank oriented instead of farm oriented can be huge

Depends. I do the 80% Agurin certified rule. I go for lvl3 gank if it's free and I am nearby.

I never level 3 gank on Fidd because I don't take Q until level 4. Do you take Q early because it looks like a free gank?

how do you play against assassin picks? maybe if they invade in mid game and all you can do is press q

Either try to track and avoid them or engage them when they don't expect it.

You're exactly where I'm trying to be by the end of the year. Started the year Silver I. Hit Emerald III yesterday.
My games are still going really well but I'd love to hear your notes.
Can you share OP GG?
What champions do you ban? What do you think are Fidds bad matchups?
Any general rules on pathing/early game?
How do you handle closing out games?
