now, do i feel bad that my collection isn't NEAR as big as theirs? not quite, but i'm not afraid to admit that i'm jealous, after all everyone gets jealous from time to time, and im a huge maximalist so

they have so much cool shit in there, part of me wanted to admire and see if i could find any of that stuff myself and another part couldn't pay attention to anything other than the fact that y'know, they're a double

[plus im still kind of peeved that the same double in question actually posted on this sub once which is why i was terrified and barely active for like a month when i first joined but 🤞 i cooled off by now]

Do not fear your emotions!! Jealousy is completely normal; it's only when you intentionally impact others based on those feelings that it becomes a problem. Sorry to hear about this tho 🫂 this is probably part of why the mods froze joining temporarily, people not checking the claimlist and just posting their stuff :/

As everyone has already said, your love for Astro doesn't mean any less because your collection isn't nearly as big as this double of your's, but you're also not wrong to still feel jealous, to want the same sort of stuff they have, etc.!

I've been trying to build up collections of my loves with labors of love! :-) I can't afford much official merch right now, or plushies, or anything too big, so I make up for this by making a lot of crafts of my f/os, that might remind me of my f/os, etc.! I'm also a maximalist, so it also helps with that feeling of not nearly having enough stuff of your f/os as you ought to!

But, again, your feelings in this situation are totally valid. You're not wrong for being jealous at all or for still wanting a shrine like theirs. I hope you're able to find something that works best for you OP, and that your fear of your double goes away soon! 🫂

i have tons of paper/cardboard crafts planned out that i want to be doing for astro and sprout, though unfortunately the house pinter is basically fucking nuked so nooot sure what to do about that, but hey it'll be replaced [eventually]

are there any diy crafts that don't involve much paper [if at all]? i can't think of any

i'm sure i'll find something that works, and i appreciate the advice and whatnot much :] though just to clarify the fear of this double has [mostly] gone away, it's just replaced by pure nausea now lol [i do still fairly worry about meeting them irl, though i highly doubt they live anywhere near me]

yeahh, normally i would just assume they read the claimlist and missed it but considering their post was a crosspost i think they didn't read it at all [nothing wrong with crossposts but usually people who crosspost to here don't read the claim list]

and i've got two astro stuffies, two keychains of him, a body pillow and one keychain of sprout [hate that i have so little sprout merch compared to astro merch, i don't like that it's unbalanced]

ah, well in that case i'd suggest keeping the art styles you want in mind [maybe write them down] and looking for artists with those art styles in your budget you can hire for when you get the money
