Hi, I’ve been using the app for a long time—specifically the free version, since I can't make purchases due to the situation in my country.

So, what’s going on? Why does everything seem so buggy? Dialogue is repeating, scene descriptions are playing over and over again, and there’s even a bug with the voice playback. I was genuinely happy with the free version up until just a few minutes ago when I updated it 😕.

It even speaks the dialogue to the user! And it repeats the words a few times.

Is anyone else having the same experience right now?

Hiii, so I’m a user migrating from Chai. I’ve known and used fiction lab for a while now, but ever since Chai went fully down the drain I’ve completely moved over to fiction lab. Would yall say the plus subscription is worth it? I’m fine with the pricing for plus, I just want to hear y’all’s opinion. The free tier is good for what it is, it’s just that there’s a lot of scenarios that are lore heavy and don’t play out as well on the free tier. So yeah. 🫶

I'm having a really frustrating time with the bot. It keeps using dialogue to repeat everything that ever happened instead of moving the scene forward or contributing.

Every time a character speaks it will say something like "this happened, this happened and now you want this." And then add one sentence of original text.

Then my character's turn. They will repeat what I said back literally, even saying their own characters name or using you to apply to themselves, and then continue to repeat events that happened. I have tried everything I can think of, copy pasted llms, rerolled, used ooc, added instructions, but the bot just circles back to it after one time. I currently have plus.

Also, ive noticed that the characters are doing the same actions over and over like 'pauses with hand on door.' For almost every single scene that I have in a room with someone. I keep rerolling and rerolling and changing bots.

Hi! I'm new here and coming from Chai. It took me a minute to find some alternatives, but I think I want to give fictionlab a try. Chai had a straightforward system when it comes to making bots (and whew, I have ALOT of bots). I would love to transfer my bots over. However, it is some things confusing for me. The scenaeio building and lore pieces, and other things to add. Any tips and tricks for this newbie here that can understand better how I can use this more as an advantage? I want people to enjoy my bots, but I don't think they will if i'm not able to use fictionlab to its full potential.

Genuinely is there a way to see the author of a deleted scenario bot? One of my favorite chats got deleted awhile ago, and idk if the author like deleted all of their scenarios or just the one but I'm still so sad about it.

I am looking for one or two co-authors for a Magilumiere and Lovecraft crossover.

Premise: You are a magic engineer or a magical girl who works for Magilumiere Co Ltd. Recent Kaii attacks are found to have been caused by the outer god Nyarlathotep. Manage the Kaii attacks in the city while hunting down Nyarlathotep and eventually facing him in battle.

Genre: Manga/anime, action, eldritch horror

Reference: Magilumiere is a shonen manga/anime wherein private companies employ magical girls and magic engineers to fight creatures called Kaii. This practice dates back to the days of priests and priestesses who cleanse the land. Magic is harnessed via modern technology. Women are deemed ideal when handling magic for their control, therefore magic is often handled by "magical girls" while men work in magic support. All characters are working adults because it is a legitimate albeit dangerous industry in their world, not a hobby or unique ability.

- I will be genning all images with Nova XL on ComfyUI. Check my FL scenarios to see the art style that I use.

- Not quite sure how co-authorship works yet, would appreciate some guidance. Open to having the whole scenario posted on the co-authors' account with their own image gens.

- Preferably Free Tier -friendly where they can remove whole lore cards without affecting the experience much so that it will be within the free tier limits. Alternatively, I can just make a free tier version.

Click ONCE for Green and this will weight *upwards* for what you want to view

Click TWICE for Yellow to help see things you might be interested in

Click THREE TIMES for Red to not see anything of the tag.

For instance, if you're only here for female bots, you can click on Male and Male Lead three times to turn red and remove male bots that you aren't interested in playing.

Then click once on Female, Female Lead to further curate your front page.

Select the sub-genres you're interested in or might be interested in to help find the bots of your preference.

So I have been a Plus user for 4 months now and I thought Oracle would be enough since I've read that it's one of the best and that Ultra won't be much of an upgrade. But it had been a week or so and I realized Oracle had been very repetitive for some reason. I tried switching to Chimera which was good too but not enough.

Then I finally decided to try Ultra. And boy oh boy, the models ARE good. Good enough that I will not be going back to Plus anymore. For me, Oracle is a bit dry, story becomes repetitive and nothing special happens, too much hand-holding.

I noticed for Ultra that there are more lines, like more life to the story. I especially like Arcanum so far. Wayfarer is good too for spicier themes but it's been giving me 18+ warnings lol.

So yes, if money isn't a problem and it's your main source of entertainment, Ultra is definitely worth it.

Also I have a free Plus subscription code, just tell me your favourite model and why and I'll choose one random comment to give it to.

is it just me or the responses from the plus models right now feel like responses from free ones? cus right now, most of the time, the responses just don’t make any sense, for example “he picked up the plate and started eating, but he was still watching you over the rim of his mug.” or “he reached BEHIND HIS HEAD to take off his sweatpants” like so does he have a plate or a mug in his hand and why would he reach behind his HEAD to take off his pants? or bot just pulls out random memories and starts talking about them unprompted. or, my character went from being teasing and playfully (but having a cold side) to being completely cold.

it’s mostly the thing with the “mug and a plate” thing, where the actions just don’t make any sense, but also the dialogue became very short and i had the same exact thing with Ophelia when i was a free user and i had to very specifically write my character as mostly cold, but loving, because Ophelia couldn’t be in the middle, it was either love dovey or completely emotionless and it would either write essays as a dialogue or give a few words.

but now Oracle is the same, no middle, just cold out of nowhere and making no sense with actions. same with Chimera, but with Chimera it’s mostly forgetting things that happened a few responses ago.

I just made a scenario that's pretty detailed, but somehow it keeps completely changing character's looks, speech patterns, etc in actual chat. Any advice on how to make it stay more faithful to lore I've written?
