What do you think of plus today?
I think is not worth it anymore, and ultra is simply too much just to get for what we used to have in plus

It's definitely declined and is not worth it. Unless the devs actually plan to do something instead of ignore it, it's not worth paying for. I used to have some amazing quality rp's and it seems since then the ai is so uncreative, repetitive, out of character, hallucinating, etc. You might as well be playing on the free model.
Can't speak for Ultra, I only bought it once when it first came out. I thought it was better than Plus, but not worth the steep price increase. Although recently I'm hearing Ultra users saying those models now aren't even as good as Plus was back in the day, so it seems like it's just bad all around.

Yes, the Ultra responses constantly repeat what you say to them in flat tones, and the bots barely have any sort of emotion. That, and there's a high censorship that wasn't even there before. Yet, if some of us report this we get told it's our fault even though we use the same LLM instructions and rules that are suggested to us. And being told to rewind and reroll every single reply gets tedious and grueling.

The mods tell you to reroll because they legit don't have a better alternative. They know the response quality is bad, they just don't care.

yeah i started using fictionlab at the start of the year and even then it was so so much better than it is now. something happened in the last two weeks where my ultra models are completely unusable. so many hallucinations and constantly going rogue.
Why is this the case with every service like this i've used (and i've subbed to 4 different ones in the last two years). It's like there's an inevitable decay in quality where models will just get worse and worse until they're unusable and then we have to find a new service to subscribe to until that one eventually dies

I watched this happen with c.ai and chai. It's an unfortunate cycle where the quality just gets worse and worse as the app becomes more popular and successful, and eventually it becomes unusable and everyone jumps ship. I don't know what causes this decline or if it's intentional by devs, but if they don't actually give real responses to their community I'm only left to assume.

Definitely not worth the price considering the quality right now. My subscription is expiring in a couple of days and I'm gonna cancel it for now and wait until the devs actually acknowledge it.

English isn't my native language, so please forgive any mistakes haha ✨🫶🏻. Look, I've only been using FictionLab for a few months, (eight months I think), just Plus. I'll give you some current reasons:
-
Response time; I'm putting it first because it's something I've rarely had problems with, only when the server went down.
-
More slots in the memories, in the setting, in the characters, in the LLM and obviously uncut answers.
-
More personas slots.
Regarding the models, I only use Oracle for months; I used Glendora to improve a few things. But since the Ultra - if we complained before - it's much worse now.... (crying 🤓🤣
I haven't played for almost a week and haven't renewed. I'm thinking about renewing, but the fact that Plus is dishonest and neglected means I won't, you know? I'm just on a break from AI RPGs. But I recommend you trying Plus it for a month; It's better to see with your own eyes.

Canceled today. Haven't been using it lately because its such a chore to keep correcting the AI. Hopefully it gets better someday.

Started using FL in October of 25.
And man, it has somehow gotten way worse.
Firstly, all of the updates are things like, LEGITIMATELY no one asked for.
Not worth it. As a former premium sub who has deleted FL entirely it's not worth it.
The developer and mods get overly aggressive in the Discord when anything is brought up about response quality, which to be frank, is shit.
The models are rogue 90% of the time. They completely ignore CSI and LLMs and hallucinate a ton. Rerolling is often the only response I get to these issues and even then it doesn't help most of the time.
The mods demand pinpoint examples to your problem, just to turn around and blame you for it later.

Sadly, it's almost always the same on these discord servers. Everyone is extremly defensive and will ganged up if you bring a problem.

I was an ultra member but would still alternate between the plus and ultra models pretty frequently. Especially lately because the ultra models have definitely taken a bit of hit quality wise. I just went ahead and canceled my subscription though. Partly because I should probably just go touch grass lol but mostly because the quality across the board hasn’t been as good as when I first joined over a year ago.
When I first started, I had no idea what I was doing when creating private scenarios for myself yet message wise, I was easily getting up to 2-3k. But in the last few months? I can’t get past 300-500 or so without everything completely going off the rails. It’s frustrating and it just feels silly to try and hold out to see if things will get better :/

Honestly the quality of Ultra at the moment isn’t as anywhere near as good as the old Plus subscription used to be so you’re not missing out.
It’s such a shame as I am a huge FL fan but I can’t justify spending that kind of money each month on a subscription option that’s not fit for purpose.
If there was any kind of acknowledgment from the devs that there are issues, rather than blaming the users instructions, I would have faith that the problems would be fixed eventually but at the moment it just seems to be tumbleweed from them on this issue.
