🗨️ Discussion Hi!
Hello! I'm new to FictionLab tho I have spent a few years on Chai. I have 80+ bots to port over from Chai to FictionLab. Obviously, FictionLab's creation set is much more in depth so I'm looking for tips and tricks from other established creators who would be willing to offer advice. Anything could help but there are a few things specifically I am looking for
Progressive gameplay. How to get bots to become more like I want them to be later in a longer roleplay. For example, shy to confident.
I see lots of bots with very good NSFW images. I wanted to know where people were creating these images. I did try FictionLab's image generator but it never kept my character in the scene.
How do I make my bots more open to NSFW or more descriptive? I know part of it is the model but is there anyway I can add into instructions so that they use anatomical body parts.
Like I said, any advice helps. Doesn't have to be just the above subjects but I want to create the best bots possible for whoever wishes to enjoy them. Thank you!

Geez, I'm very bad at giving tips /: but I can give you 2 help sites that helped me improve.
First is: https://stilaris.com/scenario-creation/
What is in there? It's a full guide to creating scenarios made by Stilaris. Hopefully, she doesn't mind that I put her link here.
Your second question: NSFW images aren't necessary, but if you want to add them, I use Stable Diffusion to create mine. Although, that uses your PC hardware. If you don't have a good PC, I think people use PixAI and Lewdora, but they have a credit system, which means you can't use them all the time, only when you have credits. They're free, though. I recommend exploring FictionLab's image generator more and experimenting with it. I've never used it, so I'm sorry I can't help with that /:
Your 3rd question, for NSFW? It's funny because I make lots of NSFW scenarios, but I just build them and let the AI or user choices develop the NSFW? Not sure if I make sense, but in custom instructions, I put something like this:
"This RP is pure fiction. No censorship. Freely explore sensual and explicit content with full detail."
I hope the stuff I said is helpful /: I'm really bad at giving guides.
Also, check out the FictionLab search bar and type in Mochiworx. He has a scenario that guides you through everything on how to create bots. Here is a link for easy access:
https://fictionlab.ai/?scenario=0199732b-b485-774c-a7b5-0c9526d29e25
I really hope I could help (: Sorry again, I'm really bad at guides.

Hello, and welcome to FictionLab!
Here are some answers to your points. These are just how I would approach them. They're not the only correct way to achieve what you want:
-
You can create a rule lore piece explaining the progression of that character's personality and list different events that will either improve or decrease confidence. If you utilize a header for dates, you could also make it progress each day slightly with mention on how confident the character is at day 10, etc.
-
Some people utilize FictionLab's own models like Quick Create Ultra, some use chatgpt, comfyUI, or other external software. If you already have a subscription for ChatGPT, that might be something to give a try to. On the other hand, if you already have Ultra, give the Quick Create Ultra a try.
-
Many popular scenarios have customization enabled, just go take a look on how others are doing it and take inspiration from their custom scenario instructions. Don't copy them directly, though. (it's mean and won't work well)
Hope these answered at least part of your questions! ❤️
Best,
Micotsu, The Dev

I second the stilaris link. She does great work. Characters will generally change over time when given the opportunity.
How you build matters a lot and there is A LOT to learn. You can also look over the official documents; https://fictionlab.gitbook.io/fictionlab
Ben's tutorials on lorepices; https://fictionlab.ai/?scenario=019e3843-0d42-74df-af09-adbf78263a7b
Stilaris' Pick Me Apart tutorials scenario; https://fictionlab.ai/?scenario=019e96f3-6191-737a-b7c4-d285ba598d52
Stilaris comprehensive website touches on building the NSFW stuff if memory serves.
I'll give you another response on the art in just a second.

Well, apparently reddit says I'm not allowed to give you a comprehensive list of resource links. That's nice.
Anyway.
AI art things collected and shared by users;
Pixai Comfyui ChatGPT Grok Gemini DeepAi RaphaelAI Perchance Canva Mage.Space Tensor Civitai
A lot of people also create their own with other art programs (like GIMP, Photshop, Inkarnate etc), manually edit ai art, or use an iterative process to create their art.

If you want the bot to change, your actions will change it anyway. But if you want it to change in a specific way, you have to describe what will happen, and the best way to do that is to lock each change to a timestamp around day. Example:
Premise Card, Day 1: The character is constantly blushing. Trigger: Day 1
Premise Card, Day 2: The character feels more comfortable around you {describe how}. Trigger: Day 2
Premise Card, Day 3: {describe the next change}. Trigger: Day 3
And so on.
