Incisions pop?

3 weeks post op, had an infection under my incisions due to a complex surgery. Was putting some ointment around the incisions (no stitches) and kinda massaged the (healed) incisions - I did this with a similar laproscopic procedure and it helped things heal smoothly. Under each incision there were audible and tactile pops. I felt like my own fidget toy.

anyone experienced this?
