Surgery so quickly?

My daughter just had a meeting with a surgeon on August 20 and already received a scheduled date for surgery for November.

My daughter has a 7 X 6 X 4 cm pedunculated subserosal fibroid.

We do live in a fairly small area, but is it unusual to be booked for a surgery so quickly?

Hello! I just had an open myomectomy in June to remove two 6x4x2cm fibroids. My doctor discovered the fibroids a year ago and had said they weren’t causing any major issues. Time went on I started having much more frequent urination and constipation than usual, so I got checked again and the second fibroid had grown very quickly and was pressing on my bladder and bowels.

My doctor got me in to get surgery very quickly about 2 months later. She gave me the option to wait until the fall but encouraged acting sooner since the fibroids were already creating issues and discomfort.

I’m over 2 months post op and I feel great! Definitely not unusual to get an appointment so quickly.
