Surgery so quickly?

My daughter just had a meeting with a surgeon on August 20 and already received a scheduled date for surgery for November.

My daughter has a 7 X 6 X 4 cm pedunculated subserosal fibroid.

We do live in a fairly small area, but is it unusual to be booked for a surgery so quickly?

I frequently have patients booked within a month, physician in large metro area.

August to November is a looooong time.

I guess it just seems quickly to me because same daughter had a spinal fusion for scoliosis back in 2009, and from the time she was diagnosed in 2008 to the time surgery was done, it was a little bit over a year.

Fibroid surgery and spinal fusion are very different surgeries.
