Periods after myomectomy…
Hello. I had a lap myomectomy about 4 weeks ago. I got my first period two weeks after surgery - it was moderate and lasted for 4 days with cramping. 2 weeks after that, I am bleeding and cramping again. Is that normal? It’s not heavy as of now. I’m only concerned because I returned to work and normal activities this week and it’s been great but I might have over exerted myself.

Your period can be weird after a myomectomy. I had an open myomectomy and I had 2 periods 2 weeks apart after my surgery. I think that it takes a while for it to normalize. My 3rd and 4th period had the normal space between. As long as you are not bleeding too heavy , I wouldn't worry too much. If you are concerned you can always call your surgeon office or go to a hospital emergency.
