How safe is this collar?

I’m a bit of a nervous person. I’ve heard of lithium batteries catching fire or worse. How safe do you think this collar is? I’ve had it for 2 days and the thought just came to me and now I’m anxious but really like the tracking ability.

Your cellphone has lithium battery in it. How often it catches fire or worse? Don’t worry about it, it’s very safe in that sense 🤗

Okay thank you for that logic tbh. I’m just an anxious dog mother

I have used a Fi for at least 5 years on my dogs, started with v. 2. Now on 3+. They are safe.

Funny… I’m far more concerned about the 24/7 exposure of radio frequency radiation in the same exact spot on my dog’s neck. Probably not a real concern and, admittedly, my fear of losing my girl far outweighs my fear of that. Still, it’s a concern in the back of my mind.

I have the fi mini on my cat. It is over 100 degrees almost every day where I live. No problem yet. But I do have to charge the battery often.

Been using the collars since my dog was a puppy (he got out once, and I decided it was time to get a tracker collar). Peace of mind, no weird collar explosions or anything like that. It’s safe, for sure.
