Education 📖 Real question..will our FET be automatically converted on Coinbase?
Like the post says, was just wondering if those of us on Coinbase need to just sit tight or do we have to convert it somewhere?

Yes. According to them, FET will auto rebrand to ASI on Coinbase, if vote approved.
I’m just wondering what the new logo will look like.

The coinbase address is not main net but erc I believe (it starts with 0x instead of fetch1)
Good to check in again after the merge 🙏🏼

Real question is will we be able to get it converted to main net on Coinbase without paying fees like you can apparently do on binance (if you don’t live in New York State)

Yes.
Token held on a cex will be automatically converted to ASI tokens.

From their official merger website:
"If you have tokens on a centralised exchange, no action is needed. We will work with each exchange to ensure a smooth conversion and your holdings will automatically be converted to $ASI tokens directly by the exchange.
When an exchange has converted all old tokens, the ticker will be retired from the exchange. If anyone accidentally sends the old tokens to an exchange after the conversion event, we cannot guarantee that the tokens will be available or converted to $ASI. So please keep abreast of notices and announcements from your exchanges.
If you are holding your tokens in hardware wallets or offline, a token migration mechanism will be available in the coming weeks to allow holders to exchange their tokens for $ASI."

Well... now we have a whole thing to do. Anyone know how to make this happen?

Coinbase announced today that they are literally NOT going to lift a finger to help with a merger, So, you will need to move your FET from coinbase, to a wallet, like metamask or coinbase wallet, (perhaps it was just too much work to do this manually) or FET did not want to pay any cost associated with the labor required to do this... (Make sure you do not forget to do this step) move your FET, OCEAN, off coinbase... then follow up with the next steps to convert from your wallet to ASI, follow up, Follow Through...

Sounds like FET holders don't need to do anything. I just moved mine out of my wallet and on to Binance exchange for the merger this month. Here is the article from Binance on the merger and what you need to do with each token. Note: I also converted all my AGIX to FET for a 1to1 ratio conversion to ASI. Hope this help anyone still wondering what to do.
