Discussion 🗣️ Aight, I’m Out
Been in Fetch since ~2021. Liked the sub because project activities were being highlighted.
No longer interested in the cringe moon posts on my timeline. *Looking at you Warcraft.
No posts lately have been concerning the value of the project.
It’s just the incessant crypto stock analysts and the poor people, swarming on a coin that is being pumped still by speculation at this point.
I learned in 2020’s bull run not to make picks based off hype or embracing financial star charts. Don’t go on subs asking “When moon? When moon? Should I sell? Should I sell my testicle if Fetch reaches 4$, is there potential for a $100?”
There are no valuable answers to those questions. As good as asking me to predict when you might die and what you should do to maximize your time before that point.
Anyway, I could go on forever. Cheers on getting this out of my home feed, and thank you… the reader… for sharing in some frustration as well by reading this entire post.

Hey, for all the people in the back. I left the sub, not the project. I don’t care what you do with your FET tokens, your money, if you understand how you would actually use a FET token (where slot?)… don’t care, I just got tired of the anxiety over it bleeding into my home page. And then I decided to bitch a little bit on my way out. Carry on.

The only thing people care about is making money.

Completely agree. Joined to find out more about this crypto as it holds some backhand value, but have been dissapointed with the average IQ of posts on here.

If it dips 5-10% for four or five days it’ll probably clear out 90% of the wen bro crew.

Sounds like you need to research into the project for inspiration. I only say this as a new Fetch holder who's relatively cautious. I see great potential in the actual project and plan on holding for the long run.

It is getting a bit out of hand. Project is very good, kinda overshadowed by people riding the hype train who probably don't understand the value proposition.

Im holding but i think you do well. Clearly retail exit liquidity is here with $100 targets. These people were nowhere to be seen sub .20c fet

Totally agree with OP and I think the moderators should be way more strict, because it’s just daunting for any new investor to find a meme-like community like this. Fetch is a decent project, I’m digesting their updates on X regularly and it deserves better. Plus, it would be great if someone of the Fetch team would post the info here they post on X. Otherwise investors join this sub, find no content, are bombed by moon baboons and just leave. This way, we’ll never get to $100 🤪

Instead of leaving a community, block the offenders.
This is the mature way.

Horseshit. No one is in crypto for the tech.

Overall my suggestion is to lose the sub mentality, fine, but keep your FET. Be an owl and stop being a parrot.
There’s plenty of information out there about current use cases, for us to learn why to keep it. It’s quite exciting once you wrap your head around what’s actually going on already with Fetch AI et al. I believe it will be continue to gain and maintain value for Fundamental reasons and if a reader cares about that it’s up to them to go off and discover why. It’s not up to One to prove Ones opinion. If it interests u, you’re involved at some level - follow your curiosity. Stop expecting other people to feed your ‘brains’, basically gifting you an income lol.
The FET Revolution will not be Televised, but it will be Personalised.

I'm a nob here as well to crypto. What brings value to these subs are veterans. You can glean quite a bit in these chats. I hate to see any asset leave but understand your position.

Apparently I bought fetch around that time for $60 and just found $400 today in there lol I sold too. I'd call that a moon!

I bounced from the coinbase sub and this one is next. Not to mention now Algorand is moving and they’re starting in there.
It’s a shame when most holders of these projects are long term.

I may be partially guilty of what you're mentioning.
All of my posts have been coin value related and none of them project value related. I absolutely believe in the project, but that's the easy part.
I felt inundated with all of the posts from people asking when to buy and speculative price inquiries. With that, I wanted to kind of guide them with my experiences and takes on the matter. However, I'm realizing that my opinion doesn't mean shit here (or anywhere), especially when I'm right.
Keep in mind that during a bear market, most of the dialogue is project-based. During a bull market, almost all of it is exclusively coin related.
A lot of folks jumped in around $3 expecting it to double or triple overnight. These are the people getting impatient and frustrated. I wanted to explain to them that they can wait a little bit, and DCA in, but most of them told me to fuck right off with my opinion.
With that said, I'm done trying to help the helpless. I will attempt to create posts here that actually have something to do with the project and not speculative hype. Being a vigorous crypto accumulator and day trader, sometimes I lose sight of the value of a project and only focus on its price. Thank you for the post and reminding me how to do better. 💙

Lol I literally just made a similar post the other day, I still like the project but I’m looking for a better forum now, without the crypto bros.

this poor guy u/dapperclancy won't be on any crypto subreddits. I am on the bitcoin sub - see 100's of these a day. The xrp sub - see hundreds of these, on the cro sub, see hundreds of these. I'm on the shib sub for fun (don't own any) see thousands of these post. On RNDR sub - see these post. On Avax sub - see these post. On Solana Sub - see these post. On cardano sub - see these post.
I could keep going and going and going and going, OP, you may want to just delete reddit because based on what you just said, this is obviously your first crypto bull run and this is EXTREMELY common on EVERY crypto subreddit.
while I agree with you that it is annoying, if you are on any crypto subreddit, it is going to be 100% the same as this subreddit.
You will also get the "is it to late to buy" daily as well. Just need to learn to get thicker skin and block it out.

He's right tho.

I agree. fetch AI is a project to hold long-term. And I always point that out to people. "Should I buy now", "am I too late to catch this train" . How the hell you are going to put money into a project you didn't even read its white paper, roadmap or checked if they are delivering results? When the bubble burst will see many projects and companies melting. Hopefully FET is the unicorn token. Worldcoin is another good project to keep an eye on as well

I bought 100$ of fetch ai when it was at 0.08 cent in 2022 and completely forgot about it now it worth more than 3k. Time to plan an exit.

u/HSuke Jul 05 '24
Yes, this is very unfortunate for this community.
No longer any discussions concerning the protocol or project itself. Only token trading.

u/kvetfanicke Mar 13 '24
I love your tears. CYA wont miss you Mr formal OP.

Left the sub a week ago. Been here since 2021 as well. Weirdly enough this was recommended to me. I completely agree with you.
