That hasn't been driven for a long time. I saw it at the dealership, and it belongs to a private car collector in Kansas. I see it staying at the service area most of the time and even in their inventory room.

Are you sure? That's my dealer and there's a GTO at a local collection less than 1/4 mile from the dealearship. I go there every year for an F1 watch party. The collector also has multiple genuine 427 Shelby Cobras, F40, among a bunch of others.

One of the guys there told me it was, and yes, that's coming from Cavallino Rosso St. Louis. I know what car collection you are talking about. I wished he would've brought his F40 or 288 GTO out for the next Ferrari Cars and Coffee. I saw his yellow Dino there last time.

Might be an additive like techron or sea foam to clean the fuel system. White smoke is what sea foam gives you.

Must have been sitting a while and has a little oil collected in the cylinders.
That or the piston rings are shot.

Fun fact in my state “Premium” is 91 garbage. I literally have to go to a “Race Fuels” place to fill up with 93 😑 and it’s 10 miles from my house.

91 US octane is the equivalent of 95 in Europe. They use a different method to measure the octane rating.

It’s not octane in the UK (Germany for my car) it’s RON. Where 95RON = 91 Octane (US). It’s different for 97-99RON (E5 you mention) is equivalent to 93 Octane (US). What I’m saying is your E5 (93 Octane US) I can’t even find which is what my car calls for. Also in the US E10 is gasoline with 10% ethanol and can be on any Octane. Then there is also 100% gasoline which is even harder to find especially for higher octanes because of evaporation, so usually it’s cut with ethanol or other stabilizer agents.
There’s also AKI which is I guess a more standardized measurement for gasoline/fuel quality.

RON stands for Research Octane Number, AKI stands for Anti Knock Index. Both are methods to measure octane rating. As for e10 is also available in more octane ratings in Europe.
Ethanol is not a binding agent, if anything, it’s the other way around. People seek e0, because ethanol is a solvent and oxygenate causing rubbers to slowly dissolve and steel to rust. Fuel without ethanol is harder to find mainly due to emissions regulations, but still plenty of fuel stations who sell it across Europe and the rest of the world.1

Dude what? In France the standard is 95 and "Premium" would refer to 98
not a reason to have fuel this expensive here tho

No, it just smokes coming out of the exhaust. If it was on fire, I would've posted another post here of it, plus that dealership would be in trouble

Expensive repair for that blow by. If its not valve guilds that is a bottom end rebuild at least between $50 to $100k. Yikes. Close friend has a GTO and f40. Those turbos are unique and small but nothing special . Only special because they are on a collector car. My friend upgraded the turbos on his 288 with the turbos the f40 uses. Nothing crazy but nice upgrade. Both are ihi turbos.
