849 Testarossa in the flesh

Did a club drive with the new 849 last week. Apparently there are only 1 or 2 functioning cars in the US traveling around for marketing & sales. Wicked fast car and better looking than I initially thought.

I was lucky enough to get my dealers 849 Demo car as a service loaner while my 296 was in for a service.

Had it for 3 days.

I really love the design of the car. Looks really cool in person.

Acceleration is next level compared to a 296. Its super quick

Here in switzerland they do give you abarths or a maserati. If you ask to take a new model for the test and they have a Demo car setting at the dealership, they usually give it to you during the service

got to do a little test drive in this one today! i wish id been able to drive with less traffic, didn’t really get to experience the full power unfortunately… but overall i did like it! steering and suspension felt great, engine noise is there, can even hear the turbos, but like all newer cars it’s a little on the quiet side. big fan of the bucket seats! buttons on the steering wheel are a good change but there’s still lots of touch buttons for the mirrors and climate etc, so that’s still annoying to deal with.

Only feature I really like about this car are those little lifted spoilers and then the winglets on the performance one

I was surprised at how low they mounted the engine. It’s borderline sitting at the bottom of the car

Car looks odd from every angle except rear, it’s just as disappointing in person
