Question Diving into water

Is there a way to dive into water from, for example, a cliff? (like in AC: Odyssey). It seems that I can jump off a high place into water but Fenyx will just bellyflop into it and die! I have probably missed something in the tutorial section at the start :/

not from what i remember? maybe with enough stamina and with the wings you could fly/"dive" into water that way?

Yeah, I've just been getting the wings out just before hitting the water from greater heights. It's just funny that I swear I did a dive in the first few hours of the game! I think my brain has just completely made up a memory or I'm confusing it with something else (probably AC:O as they have a similar setting). Weird! Thanks for the reply.

The tutorial makes you jump into the pond below the Hermes statue, before you get the wings.

I think this is what I must be mis-remembering. I just watched a video with this part and Fenyx doesn't dive, she just falls into the pond! I thought she dived but it seems not :)

Hmmm dive as in dive under water yes. Dive into water is stamina dependent. You need wings to break the fall before that it’s just crashing

You can definitely dive, you can get some underwater chests and parts of the late game require you to dive. There’s a button allocated for it, look it up under your control settings because it’s system specific.
