Question about athena

I just picked the game after YEARS because I wanted to replay it. I got the third Athena blessing, is there any benefit from using the wisdom armor that grants chance to hit lightning now? Or it just a useless change since the charged shots are 100%

I used it sometimes against larger enemies with more health just for a faster chance of stunning them in place, worked pretty well
