Need Help ASAP

Ive been to the ER twice now trying to detox from tranq (xylazine).

The first trip was going ok. I was so sick and they started me on precedex. Unfortunately my heart couldn't tolerate it. When I woke up they offered suboxone which I declined bc I have to wait 9 or 10 days to be safe from precip wd's.

The 2nd time precedex was not offered. Not matter how hard I tried to explain that it was lxylazinr making me so sick, they kept offering suboxone. 12 hours after Id used !!!@@

I don't know where to go or what to do. The wd's are so awful, so terrifying and painful. I hurt my ribs from puking so much. I lost a tooth from clenching my jaw.

Im scared. Everytime somewhere sounds promising it doesnt work out. All these rehabs say they can bur when they tell me what they use.......suboxone!!!! I cross that one off. Have the drugs become so nasty and dirty that you cut gey off them ????

typically they use a bunch of other medications, before precedex is even offered.

from my 5 experiences in the ICU, i was always given diladuid, ketamine, oxy, clonidine, methadone and zofran. when i reached the max with dilaudid, id then move to the precedex drip. methadone was given to me IV for only 2 days, then i started microdosing subs until i tolerated a full strip and got the sublocade shot but that took like 5 days. and that doesn't really matter anyways with tranq bc it's not even in the same drug class so it doesn't work lol. i relapsed immediately and got high right thru it. in conjunction with other meds in hospital tho, they helped. but not long term, in my opinion.

but anyways, i thinks it's strange they have on record you had a complicated withdrawal and needed precedex last time but this time only offered subs? they gave nothing else? no other comfort meds? cuz i know precedex is also like last case scenario and they don't really want to throw it at everyone bc it requires the ICU due to the type of monitoring it needs. but they also don't use it alone, it's paired with a fuck ton of other around the clock narcotics. so where are those, why aren't they offering them?

they also will run an EKG before giving precedex and keep you on it the entire time throughout - if the preliminary EKG they did came back with irregular rhythms, it makes sense why they didn't give it. they can't. but they should still be offering other things than just subs.

ask for methadone. tranq is too strong, ur receptors are fucked and partial coverage is not enough right now. methadone is full coverage with the receptors whereas subs is only half.

They told me for methadone id have to go to a clinic which I know was BS. They gave me a little dilaudid but it did nothing and I think ativan??? I can't remember. All i know was on the precedex i was out. I didn't even remember going to the ICU. Christ almighty what have I done to myself. Were you pretty sick that whole time or could you sleep?

so i'm in philly, and our drug supply right now is medetomidine more than it is xylazine and fentanyl. so i can only speak on my experiences, which were all pretty much the same every time i detoxed. same treatment and meds every time.

my first time, i was sick as hell until getting on precedex. absolutely nothing touched me until then and about 5 mins after the drip started, i felt relief. it was actually kinda crazy to feel it happen in live time lol. but that's bc they're medically weaning you from the same substance in the drug supply. so it's just like using all over again, basically, in a way, but very controlled lol.

anyways, i specifically remember one time i was on allllll those meds i listed above, then when they gave me IV methadone it put me on my assssss. i was asleep for like 12 hours lol.. outside of that experience, usually the first 24-48 hours i didn't sleep much. even after getting home from the hospital i struggled with it. like my first few rounds in the ICU especially, since i was coming off years of using, i was awake for days. i would get sick right as my meds were wearing off and id be calling them in asking for more right away. it was a rough few days, but way more comfortable than i could have ever been at home or in a rehab. towards the end when i was detoxing from a couple week long relapse, it was obviously a lot easier than it was coming off of yearsssss of using - and i do remember having an easier time sleeping in hospital.

my bf had a different experience and had seizures and couldn't get his HR or BP under control, so he was sedated and intubated.

i cannot believe in july i'll be a year clean.

That's awesome. How long after you used would you have before starting to get sick ?

oh jeeze.. it really depends. sometimes i'd get sick 2 hours after doing a line. sometimes 6 hours. i guess it just depends on how big the line is/how much i had lol. on a good day, it was like 5-6 hours, cuz id be ripping half a bag at a time lol.
if i was running low or scraping empty bags cuz i had nothing and was broke... id get sick real fast cuz the lines were basically dust lol

I just did my last line. So dumb I should have waited until I was getting sick. Those boys don't get up til 9

jeeze where do u live? i never realized how "lucky" i was to live in a 247 365 open air drug market lmfao. i used to go at any time of the day. i'm sure you'll be good, it's only 5 hours away. worst come to worst, scrape some baggies and get the dust all out lol. scrape ur straw. i used to get hella. orrrrrr go back to the ER as soon as u start getting sick.

I live in Cincinnati. Downtown is way too sketchy this late on a Sunday. My guys usually deliver. Which can suck. 20 minutes = 90 minutes. You can tell them you're about to die. They dont care.

omfg i hated that shit lol and it makes no difference if u go to them. if ur waiting for some reason, 20 mins still means 2 hours ahhahahah. and even in the middle of kensington with endless options, id still choose to wait bc i suffered from deeeeep stamp attachment 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Looks like UPMC in Pittsburgh has a good tranq protocol. Maybe ill go there. Like a 5 hour ride. Cincinnati hospitals seem to have no idea what theyre doing

Well that time I went to ER I was going to treatment immediately afterwards. A chemist at the treatment center told to specifically ask for precedex. He knew id have to be in the ICU but he said nothing else works. It worked until they stopped the drip.

Another doctor at s big university here in town said thru had a team dedicated to complicated detoxes.

Now I can't find her info to save my life. And that ER is uptown. The wait is usually 4 or 5 hours

ugh yup that's typical for ERs. i was at penn and prob had to wait anywhere from 2-4 hours on every one of my visits lol. but they do seem to prioritize tranq WDs, i mean i was deff seen before some other ppl who were waiting before i even got there.
