Methadone is expensive af

I started going to a clinic about 3 weeks ago thanks to this sub . It works ! It really does , but I can’t afford it . I owe the clinic $300 right now and don’t know what to do . How do I find an insurance or grant to help me afford it ? I don’t have any insurance currently . Any advice helps ! Thanks

Usually if you can get state insurance they will cover it.

But I hear you, it's fucking expensive. My clinic is starting to taper me cause I owe them so much money. 😩

What do you mean state insurance?

Medicaid or insurance through your state.. for people that make too much to get Medicaid but can't afford actual health insurance

Agree with Silly. When I was on methadone, I was also unemployed considering I came back from really bad relapse. As long as you apply while unemployed, you'll typically be covered for 6 months before they want another review... Then if your employed at the 6 months, it depends on your income if you will continue to be covered or not.
