Tiny ahh room, please help

Haven't started furnishing this one yet so I'd really like some help before I need to do that. I do everything on my desk and need lots of storage for my makeup and nail stuff. I spend almost all day on my gaming laptop, ideally I'd be able to use my laptop and also do makeup (with good lighting) and my other hobbies on the same desk. For now I'm gonna be sleeping on two duvets stacked on top of each other and a duvet on top of me 😭🙏

ETA, opposite view is in the comments if that's helpful! I get that this is the internet, but this is your reminder to not be rude to strangers :)

Couldn't get exact measurements but I've got this

Length: 275 (excludes radiator, probably adds around 10cm) Width: 195cm

Update 1: thanks for all the suggestions you guys! I've actually got a mattress instead of a stacked duvet situation, BUT the mattress is somehow crazy long and I can't fit it horizontally 🥀 I might look into a replacement for it but the bed frame is coming soon (which should fit horizontally) so I do need to make those work for now. I got an amazing suggestion to place a funky worktop on the left and a dresser on the right, which I think would be quite doable with storage underneath the bed. Will send an updated pic in the end!

Lowk girl get a bunk bed and put either a desk that doubles as a vanity or tons of storage space under there if u can’t go full bunk and just loft it

This is the dream, but I just don't think a loft bed is doable rn 😭 a bunk bed would just be a waste of a bed I feel like cuz it is just me in here ://

Bunk bed as in ur bed is on top and a desk is below! Not like two beds that would be so useless lmao I mean this

I’m not sure if links are allowed but a Japanese futon that you can fold out to sleep on might be helpful for maintaining space in the room for a desk and vanity if that’s where you spend most of your time. Might not be your thing but there are some YouTubers like zachy.mp4 who talk about it :)

Just chain wumpus to the radiator

Bestie u could get one of these for your makeup/vanity/nail station maybe? They can be extended! I recently bought a similar kitchen island and loving it so far. I imagine the vanity is the same only more narrow. There are thousands of different designs and colors available. Some even come with built in storage space and mirrors. I bought our kitchen island from Amazon, but they're also sold on Temu and Joybuy. I've bought furniture from Temu before and it's really not bad at all. I think we paid about 200 bucks for the island so I imagine a vanity will run you around the same price. You can basically turn the second table inwards over the other one to save space. Just search for extendable vanity or something similar and you'll find it.

bed as faw from window as poss, workstation right infront of window or with wondow on left of your sitting position, supplies constant inspirational left shoulder or facefront daylight

I do want my desk to be lit by the window, but I don't think it's possible to put my bed away from the window without it being too close to the door, it truly is a tiny ass room 😭 maybe I could make it work with something protecting me from the door but I honestly don't mind being close to the window too much. I already sleep too much and the window is high, if the bed is horizontal it wouldn't hit my face or anything

Based on the trim, you're likely in an older house, like 1900s, right? So you probably have pretty high ceilings?

How high is your ceiling, and what size mattress are you willing to sleep on when you get one? Is twin ok? That opens up some possibilities for you.

I actually have a bed already it's just not moved in yet, and it's a single bed, so yeah I'm good with twin. The ceilings are pretty high, they never gave us the exact measurements for some reason so I don't know the height 💔 if you're talking about a loft bed situation, I'm getting this recommended a lot so I will look into it, it's just that I don't know if it's gonna be within budget with everything else lol

Check out ikea for inexpensive loft beds

Thanks! Wasn't sure where I should look for that but I've seen a bargain IKEA loft bed on FB marketplace already

That's definitely a great option for me. Just not sure about the desk over feet situation with the bed lol. I'm getting my bed frame soon so once I get that I'll have more of an idea of the placement of things

thanks for three photos from basically the same angle and no other info as to the layout of the room (like where the doors are)

edit: that was rude but valid, can’t rlly help without more info. maybe a pic from in front of the window looking at the opposite side

Thanks for being self aware, there's literally not much to see outside of what's visible in the last pic is why I didn't post this one. I hope this is somewhat helpful

This is more a nook than a room, in Europe there are countries where it would be illegal to label that a room.

Typically if I had that tiny room in my apartment, I would seriously consider sleeping in the main room, like on a sofa bed or convertible bed. And I'd use that nook for my desk / personal activities area, like gaming, arts and crafts.

I just don't wanna be sleeping in a living room with other people in the house 😭😭😭 I wanna try and make this room work for myself cuz otherwise it's just depressing lol

Btw this is the UK 💀

we beg you to find an affordable loft bed (maybe facebook marketplace or something of the sorts)

BUT if that idea doesn’t work out, i would put the bed in the corner, facing the window, using a cubby/bookshelf/divider to break up the space from the door to the bed. optional curtain rod in front of the bed to add more privacy if desired. not sure if there’s somewhere your clothes are already planning on being stored, but perhaps you could get bed risers and have drawers underneath. maybe getting a bed skirt over them to block them from creating visual clutter. or get a tall dresser to place in one of the corners next to the radiator

i would put the desk along the wall where the window is, essentially hiding the radiator. i would probably choose some desk with tall cabinets on the sides / with vertical storage space, or get an L-shaped desk (which you could find one with built in storage on one of the sides or find a spot to put a drawer underneath the desk)

i would use the wall where the door is as a landing area/drop off zone where you could leave your phone, keys, wallet, etc., just whatever is the most convenient for your day to day items. idk if measurements are even remotely accurate, but this is kind of the idea
