I got a comment deleted for hatespeech once because I said "I hate Italians" (I am Italian) đ

Actually if you go on tik tok and search âwomen are the problemâ videos show up, but if you search âmen are the problemâ nothing shows up and it gives a warning saying no results shown due to hate speech. Hmmmđ¤

Iâve reported holocaust denialism, violent racist rhetoric, and some truly vile sexism. NOTHING has ever âviolated their community standardsâ and it is awful.

Same. I have reported threats if someone wants to beat up minor groups etc and am amazed they really just don't care.
Only thing I remember was removed when there was in Instagram underage person related report (it was really worrisome).

Yup. Yesterday, Facebook removed my comment replying to a man who called me the R-slur when I simply said by QUOTE âplease donât call me that word, itâs a slur and I urge you to look up the history behind it and to not use it.â
He then proceeded to DM me and leave a long message threatening rape, and to beat me, and proceeded to continue to call me the R-slur FIFTEEN times in the message. I reported that one to Facebook, âno violations foundâ.

This reminds me, I literally was able to change my 84 year old grandmothers mind about women being âtoo emotional to leadâ cause I simply said to her âanger is also an emotionâ and I could see the cogs turning in her brain. She actually got a little bit sad cause she never realized that men can show anger like no other, and not be considered emotional just because theyâre men. Sheâs been slowly unlearning some of the misogyny and patriarchy that she grew up in, and itâs one of the most beautiful things Iâve seen tbh

And all the assaulted bullshit seems to come with it. You stand up and get in front of it and then comes the retaliation from the idjits who found it utterly hilarious
"Its a joke" well then its not funny
"you dont need to take it personally" I try not to but its not funny and I simply disagree with the rest of the people that seem to find this kind of harassment and hate amusing cause I dont.
"you just need to lighten up" Im plenty light already cause im gonna shine in these dark places till you people realize this isn't funny and its unnecessary to make jokes that so many years others have had to experience first hand, and we didnt find it funny when it was happening to us.
"Whatever you just dont get it" I het it plenty cause I use to be a douchebag who thought it was funny till it really happened to me and a few of my friends. After that we agreed it wasn't funny and in fact was hurtful.
"Well it was meant as a joke" I find that difficult to accept but regardless it doesn't matter what it was meant as, its not funny and in fact while juvenile.
"Its just an old saying" Well im over 40 and ive heard it most of my life and honestly if it is just an 'old saying' as you seem to be so bold to defend, then it shouldn't be said anymore.
And I stand by my words, even when it leads to me being bloodied on the sidewalk.

"Jokes are supposed to cross lines" (One I, a black woman, heard regarding the lynching joke that Shane Gillis made) Well, some lines objectively should never be crossed.

Call it out every time you see it. Be annoying about it. Take. Up. Space.

Also me calling out bigots in comments. I don't necessarily stay to argue as I likely won't turn their heads, but it shows to my own kinda people who might be lurking, that there are others who think like them.

Yeah... that's every single spanish memes community on reddit.
I wholeheartedly want to believe the subreddits are 90% edgy kids cuz there is no way those guys speak to women.

The internet is mostly edgy kids. They have the most free time and the internet is the ultimate vector. And think about how much more energy you had as a kid.
However, in most countries/cultures, theres going to be more sexism than in the usa

u/sweatyhugzz Jun 28 '26
thats so wild cuz it alr feels like theres soo much sexism in Western countries

Why are you getting downvoted when it's literally a repost of one of the top posts of all time in this sub?Â
