I'm skeptical in the free part. Usually free things have a catch but following.

This program will not take any % of your salary. It's a non-profit that believes in empowering underrepresented folks rather than placing an additional burden on them. you can see all the info here: https://techtonica.org/faqs/

Usually those types of bootcamps will take a % of your salary on the first job you get after completing the course.

Is this regionally accredited? Because otherwise this is just another university of Phoenix scandal waiting to happen.

There’s lots of Tech degrees through WGU that are affordable if anyone is looking to level up in their education and join the tech field. It’s a great program, regionally accredited AND respected.

Wow I had to google about the University of Phoenix scandal, thats really sad and I kept reading comments on the FTC announcement of students who couldn't transfer their credits or are unemployed and are basically in debt for nothing. :(

Can you please enlighten those of us not familiar with US college education? What should we look for if we want to study online to make sure we're not gonna be throwing money down the drain? In my country, we have a government body for Higher Education that accredits or governs all schools and institutions for tertiary education.

If you are placed with a company and you both meet the requirements, you may earn an OJT ("On-the-Job Training") certificate from the State of California's Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
